Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristen Ditsch.
Hi Kristen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always been passionate about sports, entertainment, storytelling, and building genuine connections with people. My career started in administration, event planning, fundraising, and operations, where I developed a strong foundation in project management, relationship building, and creating memorable experiences. During my time with the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care, I wore many hats as Executive Assistant, Office Manager, and Event Planner, helping lead fundraising initiatives, manage events, and oversee the organization’s merchandise and e-commerce operations.
As my career evolved, I found ways to combine my professional experience with my lifelong love of sports. That passion opened doors into the sports and entertainment world, where I’ve had the opportunity to work with organizations across the CFL, NFL, and NHL Alumni community. I currently serve as a Brand Ambassador for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Forge FC, helping create unforgettable fan experiences while representing two incredible organizations.
Over the years, I’ve also worked with brands, athletes, and sports properties to build awareness, drive engagement, and create meaningful connections through content, events, and community initiatives. Some of the highlights of my journey have included being involved with NHL Alumni events, CFL and NFL initiatives, the Sports Card Expo, Hockey Hall of Fame induction celebrations, awards ceremonies, red carpet events, and numerous high-profile sports and entertainment experiences.
Today, I continue to pursue opportunities that bring together my love of sports, people, and storytelling. Whether I’m representing a brand, working alongside athletes and alumni, hosting events, creating content, or engaging with fans, I’m driven by the opportunity to create memorable experiences and meaningful connections. What started as a passion for sports has grown into a career that allows me to be part of some incredible moments while helping organizations and brands connect with their audiences in authentic ways.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s what has made the journey so rewarding. Like many people working in sports and entertainment, I’ve had to build my career through hard work, persistence, and a willingness to say yes to opportunities that pushed me outside of my comfort zone.
One of the biggest challenges has been breaking into an industry that is highly competitive and often driven by relationships and networking. There were times when I worked behind the scenes, volunteered, took on multiple roles, and put in long hours to gain experience and prove myself. Balancing career growth with personal challenges and setbacks has also tested my resilience along the way.
What I’ve learned is that every challenge has helped me grow. The obstacles taught me how to adapt, stay positive, build strong relationships, and keep moving forward even when things didn’t go as planned. Looking back, those struggles were often the stepping stones that led to some of the most rewarding opportunities I’ve had, from working major sporting events and red carpets to collaborating with organizations in the NHL Alumni, CFL, and NFL spaces.
The road hasn’t always been easy, but my passion for sports, people, and creating meaningful experiences has always kept me motivated. Every challenge has made me stronger, and every opportunity has reinforced that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work is centred around building relationships, creating memorable experiences, and connecting brands, athletes, organizations, and fans in authentic ways. Over the years, I’ve developed a unique blend of experience across sports, entertainment, event management, brand partnerships, content creation, and community engagement.
Today, I work with organizations and brands across the sports industry, including opportunities involving NHL Alumni, CFL, NFL, and Canadian Premier League properties. I’m also a Brand Ambassador for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Forge FC, where I help create exceptional fan experiences and represent the organizations at community, corporate, and game-day events.
I’ve been fortunate to be involved in some incredible experiences throughout my career, including the Sports Card Expo, Hockey Hall of Fame induction celebrations, awards ceremonies, red carpet events, athlete appearances, community initiatives, and high-profile sports and entertainment activations. I also work with brands and businesses to help increase awareness, engagement, and visibility through content creation, social media, and experiential marketing.
What I’m most proud of isn’t any one event or organization, it’s the relationships I’ve built along the way. I’ve earned a reputation for being approachable, professional, energetic, and someone who genuinely cares about people. Whether I’m working with a Hall of Fame athlete, a major brand, or a fan attending their first game, I believe everyone deserves the same level of enthusiasm and respect.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine professionalism with authenticity. I don’t just show up to events, I create connections. I bring positive energy, strong organizational skills, and a genuine passion for sports and community to everything I do. People know me as someone who can engage a crowd, build meaningful relationships, and represent a brand with enthusiasm and integrity. For me, success has always been about creating experiences that people remember long after the event is over.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
One thing people may not know about me is that while much of my career has been built around sports, events, and brand partnerships, I’m also passionate about beauty, wellness, relationships, and empowering women.
Recently, I launched a YouTube podcast called Hot Girl Academy with my friend Diana, a skincare expert. The podcast is a fun, informative, and entertaining space where we talk about everything from beauty, skincare, confidence, and relationships to real-life experiences, personal growth, and even a little sports talk. While people often know me from the sports world, the podcast gives them a chance to see my personality in a completely different way.
I think what makes the show special is the combination of our backgrounds. Diana brings her professional expertise in skincare and beauty, while I bring my experience in media, sports, entertainment, and storytelling. Together, we create honest conversations that are educational, relatable, and full of laughter.
At the end of the day, whether I’m working a major sporting event, interviewing guests, representing a brand, or recording a podcast episode, my passion has always been the same: connecting with people, sharing stories, and creating experiences that leave a positive impact.
