After 22 years of friendship, BAB Parties was born from a bond that started long before business plans and event setups, it started on an elementary school playground. What began as childhood friendship grew alongside us through every chapter of life, from growing up to becoming mothers ourselves.As we stepped into adulthood and motherhood, we both felt a pull to build something that was truly our own. More than just starting a business, we wanted to show our children that with hard work, passion, and belief in yourself, you can turn an idea into something real. We wanted them to see that moms can dream big too.Over the years, we realized just how much we shared, not just memories, but the same heart for celebrating others and creating moments that bring people together. The biggest catalyst for BAB Parties was recognizing that shared joy we both felt when making others happy.BAB Parties became our way of turning that feeling into something tangible: creating beautiful, meaningful celebrations while building something special together. What started as two girls on a playground has grown into a business rooted in friendship, family, and the belief that life’s biggest moments deserve to be celebrated.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like many small businesses, we’ve had to learn a lot as we go. As time has gone on, we’ve had to step into areas we never expected, such as, navigating social media marketing, building a recognizable brand, and learning how to price our work in a very competitive market. There have definitely been moments of trial and error along the way.
But every challenge has been worth it. Each obstacle pushed us to grow, adapt, and learn something new. In many ways, those challenges helped shape BAB Parties into what it is today and made us stronger as both business owners and partners. Looking back, the hard parts are also the parts that taught us the most.

We have two owners for BAB Parties. Alexa and Alisha are not biological sisters, but chosen sisters who love working side by side. However, our differences is what balances BAB Parties so well.
Alisha: Alisha is a certified event and wedding planner who brings both creativity and organization to everything she does. By day, she works in accounting, but by night she channels her passion into designing and creating memorable celebrations. Her unique ability to balance structure with creativity helps bring each event to life with both precision and style.
Alisha has a true passion for life and believes celebrations should reflect joy, personality, and meaningful moments. When she’s not planning events, she loves traveling, exploring new places, and trying new experiences, always finding inspiration that she can bring back into the world of events and design.
Alexa: Alexa is a mom of three boys who thrives on balancing creativity with organization. By day, she works as the office manager for an Arizona plumbing company, where she keeps operations running smoothly. Outside of the office, she channels her creative side as a balloon decorator, social media content creator, and marketer for BAB Parties.
Alexa has a passion for bringing ideas to life and creating memorable moments. Her creativity, combined with her ability to connect with people through social media, helps bring BAB Parties’ vision to life and share it with the community. Above all, she loves showing her boys that with passion, hard work, and a little creativity, you can build something truly special.
How do you define success?
We define success in a simple but meaningful way, if we are proud of the product we deliver and our clients walk away happy, then we know we’ve done our job. For us, success isn’t just about the event itself, but about the feeling people leave with after celebrating such special moments.
One of the biggest signs of success for us is when a client takes the time to leave a Google review or refers us to someone they know. Those moments remind us that our goal of bringing joy to others is truly being felt. Knowing that something we created helped make someone’s celebration even more special is what makes all the hard work worth it.
