Hi John, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been obsessed with how things work—and more importantly, how to make them work better. My journey began at Arizona State University, where I studied engineering and developed a foundational “systems first” mindset.
Early in my career, I focused on process improvement, diving deep into the gears of operations to find efficiencies. As technology evolved, so did my toolkit; I transitioned into Data Science and Business Intelligence, using data to tell stories and guide executive decisions. That eventually led me into Product Management, where I sat at the intersection of user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
While the titles changed, the mission didn’t: I solve problems. I founded my bookkeeping firm because I realized that for many business owners, their finances are a “black box” problem. I’m taking my years of engineering rigor and data expertise to help entrepreneurs move past the “guessing” phase and into a state of total financial clarity.

It’s been fairly smooth. This is my first foray into running a business an working for myself. It’s very true when they say business owners wear all the hats. That has been the biggest challenge managing all the roles.
