Today we’d like to introduce you to Animal People.
Hi Animal, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We’re a family on a mission, and that mission is simple: to help everyone understand just how important it is to take care of our planet and all the creatures (big, small, furry, scaly, or leafy!) that call it home! It all started with our love for animals and a fascination with the environment. From backyard adventures to wildlife explorations, we realized that protecting our ecosystem is about more than just admiring nature—it’s about taking responsibility for it. That’s why we created Animal People, a place where we can share our passion and help others connect with the world around them.
What We Do
At Animal People, we’re all about educating and inspiring. Whether through workshops, fun events, or hands-on learning experiences, we bring people closer to nature while showing them how every action they take can make a difference. From the tiniest insect to the tallest tree, we’re here to remind you that all living things are connected.
Why We’re Different
As a family-run business, Animal People is built on values that matter to us—kindness, responsibility, and a lot of curiosity. We believe that learning should be fun, and our goal is to make eco-awareness something people of all ages can get excited about!
Join Us!
Whether you’re just starting your journey toward eco-conscious living or you’re already an animal advocate, we’d love to connect with you. Let’s make the world a better place, one step at a time!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced has been taking in surrendered animals that require unexpected medical care. Many of the animals that come to us have been loved but their owners were no longer able to provide the care they needed. Veterinary care for exotic animals can be very expensive, and because we are not a nonprofit yet, funding those medical needs can be difficult at times.
Despite those challenges, we do everything we can to help the animals that come into our care. Our goal in the future is to establish a nonprofit alongside Animal People so we can expand our rescue efforts and work with more exotic animals in need. Being able to do that would not only help more animals, but it would also allow us to continue educating the public and inspiring people to care about wildlife and responsible animal ownership.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Animal People ?
Animal People is a family-run animal education business dedicated to helping people of all ages better understand and appreciate animals and wildlife. Through interactive presentations, encounters, and educational programs, we teach about a wide variety of species including reptiles, mammals, birds, amphibians, and invertebrates. Many of our animal ambassadors are adopted or surrendered animals that we have taken in and given a second chance.
What sets Animal People apart is that our programs are not just about seeing animals — they are about building compassion and respect for them. We focus heavily on education, responsible animal care, and helping people understand the important roles animals play in our ecosystems. Our presentations allow people to get up close to animals they might otherwise never have the opportunity to meet, which often helps inspire curiosity, empathy, and a lifelong appreciation for wildlife.
As a family business, our children are also involved in helping care for the animals and sharing their passion with others. We believe that education and connection are powerful tools for conservation.
What we are most proud of as a brand is the impact we have on both people and animals. Not only do we provide educational experiences to schools, families, and community groups, but we also help animals in need by giving them safe homes and purpose as ambassadors. Our goal is to continue growing, expanding our educational outreach, and eventually developing a nonprofit so we can rescue and work with even more animals while continuing to teach the public about the importance of every species.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are many ways people can work with and support Animal People. We collaborate with schools, homeschool groups, libraries, community events, and private organizations to provide engaging animal education programs and hands-on learning experiences. Our presentations and animal encounters are designed to help people of all ages develop a deeper understanding and respect for animals and wildlife.
People can also support us by attending our educational encounters, sharing our programs with their schools or organizations, or inviting us to participate in community events. Because we are a small family-run business, word-of-mouth and community support make a huge difference in helping us continue our work.
We are also always open to collaborating with local businesses, educators, and organizations that share our passion for education, conservation, and animal welfare. As we continue to grow, we hope to partner with more community members and eventually develop a nonprofit so we can rescue and care for even more animals while expanding our educational outreach.
Our biggest hope is that anyone who experiences Animal People leaves with a greater appreciation for animals and a desire to help protect them.
