Brittany Prince shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Brittany, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
The feeling that something invisible is holding them back. They’ve done the therapy, read the self-help books, tried to think positively—but they’re still stuck in the same patterns. They wake up exhausted, feel disconnected from their own body, and can’t shake the sense that they’re meant for more. But they don’t say it out loud because they’re afraid people will think they’re broken or “not spiritual enough.”
What they don’t realize is that they’re not broken at all—they’re dysregulated. The trauma is still living in their nervous system and energy field. Their body is holding onto things their mind has tried to move past. And until they address healing at that level—somatically, energetically, and subconsciously—they’ll keep spinning their wheels.
I see this every day in my work as a Reiki Master and Breathwork Facilitator. Women come to me feeling like they’ve tried everything, and what they discover is that they just needed to go deeper. Not more therapy. Not more affirmations. But real, embodied healing that finally lets them feel safe, powerful, and free in their own skin.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey, I’m Brittany Prince—Reiki Master, Breathwork Facilitator, and founder of Awakened Prana. I help soul-led women break free from the invisible blocks keeping them stuck, so they can finally feel safe, powerful, and aligned in their own bodies.
My journey into this work wasn’t planned—it was born from necessity. As a single mom navigating trauma and searching desperately for healing that actually worked, I tried everything: therapy, traditional medicine, every spiritual practice you can name. But nothing created lasting change until I discovered that real healing isn’t just mental or emotional—it’s nervous system regulation, energetic clearing, and subconscious reprogramming working together.
That’s when everything shifted. I created the Divine Embodiment Relief Method, which became the foundation of my signature program, ASCEND. Now I guide women through deep, multidimensional healing using breathwork, Reiki, and light language channeling. I help them release generational trauma, clear energetic blocks, activate their intuitive gifts, and step into the version of themselves they’ve always known was possible.
What makes my work different? I don’t do surface-level fixes or spiritual bypassing. We go into the shadow. We work with the body. We clear what’s been stuck for lifetimes. And I channel light language during sessions—an ancient soul frequency that creates profound healing on levels words can’t reach.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was magic. I was wild. I was deeply intuitive and connected to something I didn’t have words for yet.
As a child, I could feel everything—the energy in rooms, the emotions people weren’t saying out loud, the knowing that there was so much more beyond what we could see. I was sensitive, empathic, and unapologetically myself. I trusted my body. I trusted my inner voice.
But like so many of us, I learned to shrink. To quiet that voice. To fit into boxes that were never meant to hold me. The world told me to be practical, to stop being “too much,” to ignore my intuition and follow the rules. So I did. And in doing that, I lost myself for a while.
It wasn’t until I hit rock bottom—navigating single motherhood, trauma, and searching desperately for healing—that I started to remember. I started to feel that magic again. I realized I wasn’t broken. I was just buried under layers of conditioning, trauma, and other people’s expectations.
Now, my life’s work is helping other women do the same. To shed what was never theirs. To remember who they were before the world told them who they had to be. Because that version of you? She’s still in there. And she’s ready to come home.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
The shift happened when I realized my pain wasn’t something to fix or overcome—it was my greatest teacher.
For years, I hid. I smiled through the struggle of single motherhood. I pushed down the trauma. I convinced myself that if I just worked hard enough, thought positively enough, healed “the right way,” everything would fall into place. But I was exhausted. Depleted. Still stuck.
The turning point came when I stopped trying to transcend my pain and started listening to it. When I finally let myself feel it in my body—through breathwork, through energy work, through raw, unfiltered release—something shifted. I realized my body had been trying to heal me all along. I just hadn’t been listening.
That’s when my pain became my power. Every wound I carried held wisdom. Every pattern I broke opened a pathway. Every layer I shed revealed more of who I truly was.
Now, I use everything I’ve been through—the trauma, the dysregulation, the dark nights of the soul—to guide other women through their own transformation. My pain isn’t my story anymore. It’s my medicine. And when I help someone else break free from what’s been holding them captive, I know that every moment of suffering was preparing me for this exact purpose.
Your pain isn’t meant to break you. It’s meant to birth you.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That you can think your way out of trauma. That positive affirmations alone will heal deep wounds. That if you just raise your vibration and stay in “love and light,” everything will magically fall into place.
The biggest lie in the healing and spiritual wellness industry is that you can bypass the body and the shadow to get to the light. But you can’t transcend what you haven’t integrated. You can’t heal what you won’t feel.
I see so many women spinning their wheels with surface-level practices—journaling prompts, vision boards, affirmations—wondering why they’re still stuck in the same patterns. It’s because the trauma is living in their nervous system. The energetic blocks are stored in their tissues. The subconscious programming is running the show beneath their conscious awareness.
Real healing isn’t pretty. It’s not always peaceful. Sometimes it’s messy, uncomfortable, and requires you to go into the places you’ve been avoiding. But that’s where the transformation actually happens.
Another lie? That healing has to take years and cost thousands of dollars in endless therapy sessions. When you work with the right modalities—nervous system regulation, somatic release, energy clearing—healing can be surprisingly efficient. Not because you’re bypassing the depth, but because you’re finally addressing the root.
The truth is: your body already knows how to heal. We just need to get out of its way.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What light inside you have you been dimming?
For most of my life, I dimmed my intuition. My sensitivity. My ability to feel and see things that others couldn’t.
I knew I was different as a child—I could sense energy, feel emotions that weren’t mine, know things without being told. But I learned quickly that being “too much” wasn’t safe. So I dimmed it. I made myself smaller. I convinced myself that these gifts were weird, that I was too sensitive, that I needed to be more “normal.”
Even as I started my healing journey, I held back. I did the work that felt acceptable—the therapy, the journaling, the “safe” modalities. But the deeper gifts? The channeling, the light language, the knowing that I’m a Lyran Starseed here on a specific mission? I kept those hidden. Even from myself.
It wasn’t until I stopped trying to fit into anyone else’s version of what a healer should be that everything shifted. When I finally allowed myself to be fully seen—channeling light language in sessions, speaking about past lives and soul contracts, owning my starseed lineage—that’s when my work became truly transformational. Not just for my clients, but for me.
Now I know: the light I was dimming wasn’t just mine. It was meant to illuminate the path for others. And every woman I help remember her own magic reminds me why I can never dim mine again.
The world doesn’t need you smaller. It needs you at full brightness.
