Today we’d like to introduce you to Jermell & Alexis Carter. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Hi Jermell & Alexis, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Fire Imparted Kingdom Ministries was spoken into existence in 2017 and formed legally in 2019. This is a faith based, Bible believing, non-profit, Christian (non-denominational) ministry created by God with the purpose of being established in the east valley area of Queen Creek, in addition to serving the surrounding cities of Gilbert, Mesa, and San Tan Valley. God revealed His plans in 2017 and furthermore called Jermell and Alexis Carter to move forward with those plans legally two years later.
From 2017, God revealed His plans which required great faith and total acts of obedience to His commands, which took us on a journey of walking out our obedience before the Lord. God began to reveal the plans that He has for this great state of Arizona, plans of abundance, prosperity, and unity. God desires for His church body to be completely led by Him in leading His people and the lost sheep back to Him. From 2019-2020, we began to receive much spiritual and biblical revelation from God and during that process, we wrote a book, The God Ruled Church. A few short months after the ministry was officially established, the COVID-19 pandemic descended upon this nation. During that time, many people were in distress, disbelief, and fear. At the prompting of God, we held a series of live prayer sessions on social media. Many people submitted their prayer requests on a daily basis and for a span of 30 days, starting in the month of March 2020, we conducted live video sessions every day. Each day, God gave us an encouraging word of hope for the people. We prayed openly for our nation, for our federal, state, and local leaders, as well as businesses, entrepreneurs, and families. In the midst of the world’s chaos, we received the report of many people’s prayers being answered, which included: healing of their bodies, protection for their children & grandchildren, unexpected financial blessings for those in need, as well as some who reported the disappearing of anxiety. It was a blessing for us to be a witness to these awesome things during that time. As a result of these live video sessions, came the formation of an online intercessory prayer group called, “Prayer, Power & Purpose.” Shortly after, God prompted us to start, “Fire Word Podcast.” Fire Word Podcast can be found on YouTube.
Over the course of several months, God has given us topics that He desires for us to speak upon. These topics provide insight and biblical truths to relevant, and at times, controversial kingdom topics. As God led us to do all of these things, we were not immediately aware, at the time, as to how all of these things would later be incorporated into God’s ministry. We have since, at the Lord’s command, incorporated all of God’s resources together: the podcast, intercessory prayer group, and God’s book, on Fire Imparted Kingdom Ministries’ website. All of these resources can be retrieved through the ministry’s “Revealed Revelation” page. We are amazed by how God has brought all of these things together, for God knows the end from the beginning, as we were commanded by God to just simply obey Him.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road for ministry has not been smooth, but being diligent before the Lord, means staying upon the path that God chooses. For we have been met with much opposition, inside and outside of the church body. In 2019, we went through a season of “testing and proving”, as we were not able to do things in our own ability. For the first time in our lives, we had to truly rely on God for everything. God has blessed us throughout our lives, particularly in our former careers. Jermell and Alexis Carter are both southern California natives, who through transitioning to Arizona over a decade ago, found much opportunity in our promise land. Jermell came from a military background in the United States Marine Corps, as well as serving in federal law enforcement. Alexis came from a background in education, having taught children and adults in the public school sector, for several years.
We both went through a season of being set apart for the Lord’s purpose, for God required our full and total obedience in all things, as we had to trust Him. We perceived that this time of “testing and proving” was also a time of famine, as we endured much hardship. It was through this time of hardship, that God commanded us to write His book, The God Ruled Church. This was indeed a new process for us, as we had never written a book before. But being led of God’s Spirit to author His book was truly a unique experience. We do not take any credit for God’s book, because the Lord is truly the One who wrote His book. As God was preparing us to step into ministry, He used the process of writing, The God Ruled Church, to teach us about His kingdom and how He desires the church of God to function and operate, with Jesus Christ as the Head. God literally created His book to bring the church body of Christ back unto Him, which is to bring the church back to the foundation of truth, that can only be found in the Bible. For Jesus Christ is the word of truth. This book contains exhortation, warning, and instruction for the church body of Christ, while also highlighting and expounding upon the foundation of Christian beliefs. At the end of the day, God loves us and wants the best for us, His people. He taught Jermell and Alexis more about His love, through the process of writing His book. It was indeed a time of hardship and affliction, but trouble doesn’t last always, as our Lord saw us through all things, while developing our spiritual and kingdom character, which was vastly improved as a result of the “testing and proving.” We praise God always and in all things!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We only do what God commands us to do, and when we are obedient to Him, we are in our complete and total purpose. Ministering, praying, and encouraging people at the command of God is such a blessing. God loves His people, the body of Christ. During the months of April, May, & July of this year (2021), God commanded us, to host a community event in the city of Queen Creek, called “Prayer At the Park.” We sent out an open invitation, for all who would come to gather together in prayer, for our nation, the state of Arizona, the church body of Christ, and the surrounding cities: Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, & San Tan Valley. We hosted this event, at God’s command, and provided light refreshments for all those who came. Never before have we hosted a family friendly event, such as this. It was refreshing to be able to gather with others to pray, as God intended for His intercessors to come together in the unity of the faith.
“Prayer At the Park” was a kingdom event. For in God’s kingdom, there are no divisions amongst the body of Christ and the only culture recognized is God’s kingdom culture, which is a culture of faith, love, and unity.
We look forward to seeing an extension of God’s gathering of His people in unity, at His designated facility for His ministry, “Fire Imparted Kingdom Ministries”, as God has revealed to us, that He desires for the ministry to have a physical presence in the city of Queen Creek, AZ. We are excited about the future and look forward to praising, worshiping, praying, and fellowshipping with others in God’s kingdom, as He establishes His ministry in the southeast valley.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
God deserves all the credit. Jesus Christ is our mentor, friend, director, leader, and guide. He is our cheerleader and advocate and He alone encourages us when no one else does. The impact of the call of God on our lives has tremendously shaped our character as individuals, as well as a family. We have three beautiful children and they have watched us pray, they have prayed for us, and with us, and at times God has used them, particularly our oldest daughter, to minister and encourage us. We are so thankful for this journey and grateful to God for leading us down a path of making a God impact in the lives of others, inside and outside of God’s designated regions.
