Flash back to the painting that jumpstarted my career. The piece was painted in two months working 16-20+ hours a day in a donated warehouse space in Hartford, Connecticut. I spent every dime I had trying to get this piece off the ground. I lost 15 pounds. My father and I drove a 26 foot box truck out to a gallery in Michigan, had to remove a massive glass window to fit the painting into the gallery space and when all was said and done, the piece sold within three weeks which gave me enough money to pursue my art career full-time. Fun fact – I had to borrow the ill-fitting shirt and tie in this image as I didn't have any decent clothes with me while staying in Michigan. Without taking the risk I wouldn't be where I am today. Thank you to all who have helped me and supported me over the years. Love always. 🙏 Fraternal Codependence Oil on Canvas 8'x16' . . . . . . #fbf #flashbackfriday #oilpainting #painting #figurativepainting #oils #juxtapoz #hifructose #thinkspacefamily #peacelovepositivity
