The Soul of the City: a focus on the arts

Phoenix has always had an artistic soul.  The culture and heritage of our city, like most great cities, owes a tremendous debt to the arts community.  Supporting local art something we care deeply about and we’d like to do everything we can to help the local arts community thrive.  Unfortunately, too often media attention is monopolized by corporate interests and tabloid gossip – but culture doesn’t come from a focus on celebrity breakups it comes from a focus on the arts.  Below, you’ll find some incredible artists that we hope you will check out, follow and support.

I just wanted to say a HUGE Thank you to everyone yesterday who responded and wrote such encouraging and sweet words to me about my photography! Your words meant so much to me and really helped to lift me up yesterday! Thank you again….I love you all and my heart feels full knowing that there are people out there that believe in me (you’ve helped me to believe in myself too…which is the most important). Thank you so much for taking the time to encourage me! You are amazing!!!! 💕💗❤️ I also read this quote yesterday that seemed like it was just perfect for the day I was having and helped me to remember it’s okay to grow slow. “The work that God does within us while we wait, is just as important as what we are waiting for” – Ben Patterson #photographer #gilbertfamilyphotographer #ilovemyclients #friendship #encouragement #compassion #hgpprintshop #growslow #godsplan

Tree Of Life. “I love my body. It is strong. It is beautiful. I love my scars, my bruises, my wrinkles. They carry my life's memories. I work hard on my body. I care for it tirelessly, as an act of love. My body is a tool and a sacred vessel. A miracle making machine growing, birthing and feeding two beautiful new beings. It is a macrocosmic self healing conglomeration of molecules. I could go on and on. – Forget what anyone ever said, what you ever read, or saw we are all beautiful inside and out. Seeing that beauty within yourself is what makes light shine out into the world. We are all perfect. Exactly where and who we need to be at this very moment in time. It's always working out perfectly and beautifully.” – Julia, mother of 2. Last image is Julia and her mother ❤️
