Today we’d like to introduce you to Wildflower Connections. Them and their team share their story with us below:
When it comes to business, we have learned that in order to rise in your field of genius, you must also have a tribe that supports your vibe, as well as a mindset ready for growth and the hunger for more. When we met over eight years ago at another networking group, we did not instantly know that our friendship was destined for something so magical – we weren’t ready at that time. While we showed up to our meeting every week and supported each other in our businesses – there was something grander in the works.
A couple of years later, unknowingly we found ourselves connecting on a whim and magically having deeper, more genuine conversation. We realized we both were on a personal growth journey. Timing is everything!! We were no longer afraid of being raw and real. We took off our pretending hats, realizing that life is not all peaches and cream. Cindy out of nowhere and somehow knowingly invited Jenn to her first-ever book club. First book on the docket – The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. If you have read it, you know there was no turning back.
Jenn was yearning for a networking home to belong to and had kick-started another networking group on her own. She understood the true value of networking and deeper connections. Sadly, but for reasons she did not see at the time, it didn’t pan out. Around the same time, Cindy woke up to the fact she has been out of the networking world for a couple of years and it was time to return. What was different is that she also was understanding the true value of networking and that it is a strong way to grow your business. Cindy blurted out, let’s work together and do our own networking group, different than the ones tried before. After poking our noses around and nothing feeling quite like home and being controlled by others agendas. We threw out the idea of someone else’s format and said “let’s create our own, something we would want to belong to” and that is exactly what has happened.
Our vision is to focus on entrepreneurship and the promotion of each other’s businesses organically. We want to infuse our meetings with personal development, a renewed mindset, deeper connections, and an atmosphere to help like-minded people break through fears that paralyze them from getting themselves and their business to the next level. We realize that in order for this to happen, it all starts at the top.
This group is a culmination of everything we have been looking for. And we hope that you will come to see the magic we are trying to create for the community.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Once we got out of our own heads – everything was perfect. It is the normal, are we ready? what more can we do? will the world accept us talk that kept us not moving the needle forward.
Plus, CoVid was still a factor. We knew in our hearts our meeting needed to be in person. So once the world was ready, we hit the ground running!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am Cindy – your nature-loving, personal growth fanatic, health insurance expert and entrepreneur. I have been rocking it in the insurance industry for over 20 years. I am the founder and owner of Martel Benefit Services; a company built around providing all lines of insurance for group benefit plans.
I have a passion for developing optimal benefits packages and strategies for business owners of all sizes. Plus, I love assisting individuals and their families with all their health insurance needs; whether it be health, life, or disability insurance.
Being a business owner and a mother gives me a unique insight into the needs and challenges that business owners and families face for the benefits and the options available to them and the issues that may arise.
Taking the plunge into entrepreneurship six years ago was one of the most daunting leaps of faith, but the people and experiences I have encountered along the way have provided some of life’s best lessons. Insights and friendships that I couldn’t have gotten any other way! I realized early on that networking that included deep, true personal connections was a unique and beautiful way to grow your business authentically and a perfect fit for my soul. I have never looked back!
Words that I live by every day, “Don’t be paralyzed by fear; embrace the opportunity and flourish!”.
I have a true passion for personal growth that won’t stop and can’t stop. I am always striving to take it to the next level! My life hasn’t always been easy, so many lessons to learn along the way. Realizing not too long ago that life is SO short and I’m here to enjoy the journey to its fullest.
Montana born, I have a Montana loving soul, enamored by mountains and loving anything nature has to offer and all of her views. The fresh smell of pine trees, clean air and wide-open spaces can’t touch the city life. I don’t take life so seriously; I let my inner child free to play at all times. I’m fun-loving, genuine, loyal, caring, and compassionate. Natural born lover, you need a hug, just ask and I will wrap my long arms around you.
I currently live in Peoria, AZ with my high school sweetheart husband who showed me what true love looked and felt like, my angel on earth. We have three beautiful fun-loving and crazy cool adultish children. Two of our children have left the nest, forcing a new chapter to bloom. I cannot get enough of turning up the music ridiculously loud and dancing like a banshee, especially with my daughter Byorna. Road trips are a must that finds hidden gems along the way, spontaneous adventures, roller coasters, snowboarding, being outdoors soaking up the sun, staying physically fit and spending as much time as possible with my family and friends.
My newest liveliness is Wildflower Connections, there is a need and I shall deliver!
Hello, fellow business entrepreneurs. I am Jenn – a food-loving boy mom who loves everything networking has to offer, especially the relationships. I started my beautiful, crazy journey into real estate in 2010. Great timing, right? The first words of advice I remember and have held on to these past years was – find a networking group and watch your business grow.
I did just that! I have been blessed to see my business grow through referrals and ultimately, taking care of people beyond the sale.
My business is built on a simple vision – people come first. At the end of the day, it’s the relationships that matter. Not the transactions. When you take the time to listen, care, and do your best to create a positive experience for someone – you can change the world.
I strongly believe that real estate isn’t just a transaction. I’ll educate and empower you to make the best decision for your circumstances. My clients become family and I’m always a phone call away (even after you close on your home).
Together, we will find a home you love or sell your current home so you can start your next chapter. Buckle up, it’s going to be a wild and crazy ride – but you’re going to get through it (while having fun) and have exactly what you wanted at the end.
I was born and raised in Phoenix – say what, an Arizona native! I love everything this great state has to offer: the weather, diverse food and culture scene, and that there is always something happening all over the Valley. And, I think it’s kind of magical that we can drive two hours from the city and be in a completely different climate.
It’s true, I really love the Valley and serving people.
My two kiddos are my world. You will hear me talk about them often. My biggest goal in life is to make sure we don’t screw them up – so far so good. Early on in my career, I knew that in order for me to turn my real estate gig into a full-fledged business AND actually service the client, I needed to make a change. My husband and I decided that he would stay home with our children so that all of us could spread our wings and fly. He is the world’s best dad, truly! It’s the best decision we ever made for our kiddos.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Our husbands. We are two badass women who without the support and trust from our husbands, could not be where we are!
