Rising Stars: Meet Sarah Clayborn of Goodyear

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Clayborn.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Long story short, I am a creative individual and don’t want to be rooted working a 9-5 job. With that being said, my goal is to be financially free doing what I love; painting.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Hecks no. Back then, I was pursuing being a full-time artist and I didn’t have as much knowledge as I did now. I relied on my savings due to leaving my job and kept up with my bills until my funds were getting uncomfortably low. On top of that, I had trail and errors building my website, dealt with artist block, felt unmotivated, discouraged, and so-on.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an 19 year old female artist specialized in realism art using acrylic paint. I’m known for paintings celebrities and cartoons. I can say that I’m proud of my painting skills elevating from four years ago. It’s insane realizing how much I’ve grown and achieved. I’m literally BLESSED. The thing that sets me aside from others is my creativity. I’m constantly reminded that art doesn’t have any rules and just now taking advantage of it.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Skating is my therapy. Rolling smooth, listening to music is an immaculate vibe. I enjoy taking heel dance classes and baking time-to-time as well.
