Rising Stars: Meet Jillian Englund of Scottsdale Arizona

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jillian Englund.

Hi Jillian, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
For many years I traveled nationally performing a Rock Opera on my life story called “Somebody Love Me” (from the book) “Please Somebody Love Me.” I had the exceptional opportunity of co-writing with some of the biggest Grammy Award-winning artists in the industry today! On my tours, I would fly in early for interviews and hold local auditions for Actors & Dancers! After selecting the cast, I would personally train each actor & dancer (about 100) in the full cast! I quickly realized my love for not only performing but for producing as well! I opened the Scottsdale Conservatory of Performing Arts and started a troupe of young local talent with a mixture of Singing, Dance & Theater. Arizona’s AZ IDOL SUPERSTARS perform spectacular & electrifying musical entertainment to today’s greatest hits all around the Valley for special events, including the Arizona State Fair and Disneyland, to name a few! I love working with kids and helping them build Confidence & healthy Self Esteem. I grew up as a foster child and wish I could have had these opportunities!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
My love for the Arts carries me through! I think the period during Covid was very trying! I wanted to keep my kids engaged and full of hope! Venues were closed down, so we started performing on Zoom! When things started to open again, we were ready to perform and are now stronger than ever! This has been our biggest year! We just returned from doing our 3rd show at Disneyland, and my AZ IDOL SUPERSTARS brought the house down! They were phenomenal!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Traveling as a Christian Recording Artist and being a strong advocate for Foster Children gave me so many unbelievable opportunities! One of the highlights from my tours was being invited to “The White House” I love being able to use my “God-Given Gifts” to inspire & encourage people, especially young people! I feel so honored and blessed to be able to utilize my talents to challenge & equip our next generation! We need to teach more love & perseverance.

What characteristic of yours would you give the most credit if you had to?
I want to encourage all of those I am blessed to coach and train. I am passing on my knowledge and skills to produce fabulous talent and memories that will last a life time!!!
