Meet Paul Kalkbrenner, Kim Cooke, and Cameron Cooke of Urban Fabric Builders

Today we’d like to introduce you to Urban Fabric Builders.

Urban Fabric Builders began with three partners who share a common vision of weaving the timeless fabric of community. In practical terms: this means building spaces and places where people can live, work, socialize and form lifelong bonds versus pulling into their garage, shutting the door, and hunkering down.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been as smooth a road as could be expected in starting a business focused on changing the industry.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Urban Fabric Builders story. Tell us more about the business.
Urban Fabric Builders develops property and builds high performance, ultra-energy efficient homes and commercial buildings. We build communities focused on promoting social interaction at home, work, and play. We have built a company of very talented people that function as a highly effective team focused on common mission, vision, and values.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Phoenix is a great city in which to start a business: it’s a big small town; it provides a year-round opportunity to be a part of a diverse commerce; though relatively young, it is rich in history; it’s a nice place to visit and more importantly, we WANT to live here.
