Meet Trailblazer Anjelina Pantoja

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anjelina Pantoja.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Anjelina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I began drawing at the age of three and have progressed over time. I got to the point where I was able to draw absolutely anything and make it look as realistic as possible. From here I wanted to do something different and expand my art so I decided to try painting. It came very natural to me and after 6 months I peeked people’s interest and they started to loved my work. People began to ask me for custom art pieces. At this point I started getting paid to make someone’s ideas come to life on canvas. A year later I began making crystal jewelry as well and realized that came natural to me too. From this point my company “New Age Hippie” came to life. Now I am selling jewelry, custom art, and a clothing. I’ve always believed that God destined us all with a gift and it was our mission to figure out this gift to share with others. My favorite quote is “The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why”.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This journey has its ups and downs but has overall been so fulfilling. When I first began it was more of a hobby for me and getting paid was a bonus. I had more success than struggles but I would say the biggest obstacle in my way was vending my art. First starting out I didn’t have much artwork to sell and I actually only sold one art piece but over time I learned from other vendors what they do to be successful in vending. Every vendor told me that a variety of products and an eye appealing setup is the key to much success. Over time it got much easier. My advice for anyone starting your journey is if this is what you love to do, never stop. Obstacles will come your way but if you have complete faith in your ability to do what you love, then God and the universe will help you succeed. Remember that you have this one life and that you should spend every waking moment of this life doing what you love!

What else should we know about you and your art?
My art is a gateway to expand human consciousness. When people look at my art my purpose is for them to look at life from a spiritual level. There is more to life than what just meets the eye. I love using bright colors too because for me bright colors are very healing and bring a sense of “light” and “joy”. I love creating a variety of mini images to create and overall huge image. This is so people can look deeper into my paintings and always find something new. My favorite part about making a custom art piece for someone is that I can create “anything” they want and add my creativity to it. It amazes me that God blessed me with that ability to do so. The thing that I love most about my work is that my best pieces come to me after a deep meditation and that a new image appears when I turn the black light on because I created a hidden image within my paintings using glow in the dark paint. I also love how when I put a particular light on my paintings it will began to appear as if it’s moving!

Do you recommend any apps, books or podcasts that have been helpful to you?
When I make my art all I do is listen to podcasts and music. Some of my favorite videos are Super Soul Conversations with Oprah Winfrey, Tony Robbins, and Wayne Dyer. When I want to switch things up, I listen to very calm relaxing music. Sometimes I’ll listen to even instrumental music or binearal beats to put me in a meditative mode and it helps me paint for hours.
