Meet Suzanne Lasky of S Interior Design in Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Suzanne Lasky.

Suzanne, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After 14 years designing products and marketing campaigns for consumer products and telecommunication companies, Suzanne decided to go back to school to get her interior design degree. It is this unique combination of business skills and interior design expertise that makes S Interior Design the best choice when you are considering hiring a professional designer to transform your home and/or offices.

S Interior Design has been in business for 15 years as of December, 2017. We have been fortunate to work with a diverse set of clientele over the years and be able to do a lot of varied design projects. It is this diversity that make our job exciting and always interesting.

Over the past 15 years we have worked with clients on everything from ground up new builds, large scale remodels (both residential and small commercial clients) to designing custom furnishings (upholstered seating, case good pieces, window treatments, outdoor furniture and more!), to selection and placement of furniture, art and accessories.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road. Since we work with a large variety of clients, vendors, trades people and manufacturers to complete our designs the likelihood for challenges to arise is very high.

I like to say; “it is not will something go wrong, it is what exactly will go askew and what will go according to the original plan.” A large part of what we do is problem solving. To be successful in the interior design business you need to be flexible and creative and find alternate solutions to a variety of expected and unexpected problems that arise.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
About 5 years after starting S Interior Design we developed a niche called Pawprint Design Services. Pawprint Design Services works to prove that pets and good design can go ‘hand in paw’. When a potential client is looking for a designer, and they have four-legged family members, they reach out to S Interior Design over other potential design firms because of Pawprint Design Services and the comfort of knowing that their furry family will be taken into consideration from the beginning of the design relationship.

I am most proud of how S Interior Design has grown over the years due to a strong reputation for excellent client service and beautiful designs. The client reviews that we have received are food for our soul!

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Phoenix is an excellent place to embark on an interior design career due to the level of new building and renovation that is happening here.

The spread out geography of what is considered ‘Phoenix’ can present a challenge at times.
