Today we’d like to introduce you to Summer Grant.
Hi Summer, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My love for reading and writing began as a child. My beloved mother always had us reading books and journaling. It stayed with me on my life journey and in 2004, I began writing my first novel. In the beginning, I wasn’t as passionate about becoming an author until both my parents died. Overwhelmed with grief, I started journaling again which led to me writing books.
At first, I thought I just wanted to tell my story but once I began receiving great feedback on my stories the birth of an author transformed. The journey of publishing and authorship has changed my life. I love reading and writing it’s a therapy!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the struggles of being an author is consistently creating and writing. Many writers experience writer’s block. For me, it’s distribution. I want my books to be available worldwide.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Goal Digger Publishing is an urban publication company with over 30 fiction novels published and 6 Amazon best-selling novels. We take pride in educating authors on self-publishing and learning the literature industry. I am proud of the work I do to help aspiring authors form their works of literature. I’m also proud of being an independent author with over eight titles in libraries all over the United States.
What sets me apart from other authors is I write to educate, inform, and inspire change even through fiction. All my novels have lessons and readers gain not only entertainment but food for thought.
What does success mean to you?
My definition of success is how much you’ve done to help others.
