Meet Ryan Hibbert of Riot Hospitality Group in Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Hibbert.

Hibbert is the founding partner and CEO of Riot Hospitality Group, a Scottsdale-based hospitality management company dedicated to evolving the typical restaurant landscape into one which provides unique and meaningful experiences.

Ryan is born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona and has a notable resume in the local hospitality industry. He co-founded Riot Hospitality Group in 2009 with two colleagues, and together they own some the most successful food and beverage concepts in Arizona – Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, El Hefe, Hand Cut Burgers & Chophouse and Farm & Craft – with several locations throughout the Valley, one in Chicago, and one in Nashville.

Over the course of his career, Ryan has created several successful concepts in a highly competitive market. He believes that in the hospitality industry, you have to differentiate yourself by the environments you create, and the quality of product you serve. Ryan is exceptional at creating an environment that becomes its own culture. Riot Hospitality Group creates unique environments that breed incredible cultures around its brands. Their quality of the food, service and entertainment is incomparable, and that builds loyalty.

Ryan is a firm believer in managing by doing. He grass-roots develops his management team by finding people who share his passion for the industry. Similar to creating an inimitable environment at its venues, Riot Hospitality Group has an impressive company culture and truly values its employees. They provide Ryan with the inspiration and motivation to continue to successfully build the Riot brand. As of August, Riot Hospitality Group employs more than 450 employees including many local veterans. Ryan and his team are constantly developing new concepts and seeking growth opportunities. Riot Hospitality Group has plans for more strategic nationwide expansion over the next few years.

Ryan, along with Riot Hospitality Group, is extremely genius when it comes to community involvement. Whether its hosting one-of-a-kind fundraisers, participating in charitable events or donating to local non-profits, the Riot team thrives on giving back to the community. As an expert in the local hospitality industry, Ryan often speaks at various public events on Riot’s growth and restaurant trends. He enjoys sharing his experience and providing advice to other industry leaders. Ryan is a Chapter Member of YPO Scottsdale, the Phoenix Business Journal’s Valley Leaders, a Board Member and Special Deputy to Sheriff’s Youth Assistance Foundation and an Alumni Member to the University of Arizona.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Riot Hospitality Group – what should we know?
“Hospitality has always been in my blood,”

Ryan Hibbert is the CEO of Riot Hospitality Group, a rapidly growing and creative firm.

“I am a real big believer in managing by doing. I grass-roots develop all my management. That’s the difference between me and most of my competitors. I run the restaurant business by developing talent and getting my hands dirty every day.”

Hibbert has been able to create successful concepts in a highly competitive market.

“In the hospitality industry you have to differentiate yourself with the environments you create, and the quality of product you serve. I’m very good at creating an environment, a culture. Riot Hospitality creates really unique environments that breed incredible cultures around our brands. The quality of the food, service and entertainment is exponentially better than what you get at other places, and that builds loyalty. We give local residents an opportunity where they feel like they belong, and they love what they are experiencing.”

Hibbert, a University of Arizona graduate, has a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology.

Setting, rather than following trends is one of the keystones of the firm’s success.

“People are always blown away by our level of execution. The level of our food quality, customer service and entertainment are something everyone else in the hospitality market is trying to emulate. But when we get it down, when we get it right, every time.
