Meet Pamela Goodmansen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela Goodmansen.

Pamela, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
When my children were young I got into real estate because my former husband had a hard time keeping a job. We had 4 children and I worked hard to keep our home and a stable environment for our kids to grow up in.

After my first year as a Realtor, I was listed in the TOP 10% of Realtors in Arizona. Within 5 years I received several awards and have been listed in the TOP 1% of Realtors nationwide ever since.

I wrote over 30 newspaper articles concerning real estate for various publications and a guest article for the Arizona Title Association. Within 5 years of being a Realtor, I obtained 3 important honors- the CRS, GRI and ABR Designations. In 2013, I received the MCNE Designation. Very few Realtor’s in the United States have this designation. It is equivalent to a Masters Degree in negotiation skills.

My motto is “Committed To Excellence”.

I have been interviewed by ABC15 a few times regarding real estate stories. I have been a full-time Realtor for 20 years.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The biggest struggle for me was when the real estate market crashed in 2008. I saw so many people lose their homes. It was heartbreaking. I never listed homes that went into foreclosure but I did help buyers get amazing deals on homes.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
In 1998 I set up my PLC. It is now called Pamela L Goodmansen, PLC. I am a full-time Realtor and help clients buy and sell all types of homes, including homes in the Luxury Market.

Before becoming a Realtor I was a real estate investor. I have experience in buying homes and renting them out as well as flipping homes. I know what investors look for and I know how to help investors get the “Best Deals” or highest ROI.

I understand the real estate market from many perspectives. Currently, we rent our guest home on Airbnb. Soon we will be renting out our entire 4200 square foot home on the Vacation Rental network. I know the best type of homes to purchase as vacation rentals and what can help people make the most money.

Buying a home is a serious investment. My clients know that I will work hard for them. It is important to me that they are very successful in purchasing homes that will give them the best possible return when it is time to sell. I like to make it fun for my clients so I give them a Luxury Cruise (or other vacation if they don’t like cruising) at closing.

I also work with over 100 vendors that give my clients discounts on painting, flooring, landscaping, house cleaning, etc. I believe in going the extra mile and am grateful for the business I receive!

What were you like growing up?
As a child, I loved meeting people and had a great opportunity meeting people as my dad was in the military and we moved 13 times before settling in New Mexico. We lived in Europe for 3 1/2 years which made me appreciate that there are good people everywhere! My parents were very brave as they raised me and my 4 siblings- 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

I had many health concerns. I had asthma from a very early age. The reason we ended up in New Mexico is because the doctor said that the climate there was the best option for my health. I couldn’t ride bikes, skate or do many physical activities without having an asthma attack. By the time I was 16, I had been in and out of the hospital multiple times and was near death.

My parents sent me to live at the CARIH (Children’s Asthma Research Institute Hospital) my sophomore year in high school. When I arrived, I weighed 65 lbs. and after gaining 30 lbs. in 7 months, I was released to go home. I took 14 pills a day and was then able to manage.

After graduating from high school, I attended Ricks College where I was elected the Women’s President of approx. 4000 women students. It was a wonderful growth experience for me.
