Meet Michael Lambard

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Lambard.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Michael Lambard I’m an Arizona-based artist that specializes in pop art.

I mostly use acrylic but am not afraid to jump into other mediums while perfecting my vision. I gravitate toward large canvases to bring my art to life. I currently work and live in Phoenix, Arizona.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are always going to be obstacles if you’re a working artist/creative. I can go on and on about them, but I’d rather focus on what I can control.

It all comes down to being consistent and blocking out the outside noise. Put yourself in a position to do what you love and the rest will fall into place. Stay consistent and don’t give up.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I paint in a few different styles but I love to have a fusion of street and pop art in most of my work.

My subjects include cartoons, pop culture, and even some Greek mythology. I love to challenge myself with different types of subject matter so things don’t stay stagnant.

I love exploring different types of subject matter and seeing my work constantly evolve.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
My advice would be to put yourself in a situation where you don’t stress too much during the bad/slow times.

Basically live within your means because the shows and steady income can come to a screeching halt at any moment. But most importantly keep creating as much as possible.
