Meet Michael Klintberg of CrossFit Fh in Chandler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Klintberg.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started CrossFit about 5 years ago and about 6 months in I began coaching. I’ve been coaching ever since and I absolutely love it. I love helping members reach their goals and achieve goals they didn’t think were possible. I graduated from ASU with a bachelors in Exercise and Wellness and use what I learned into our gym. CrossFit has been such a fun journey for me and I will continue to use it for the rest of my life.

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting out for anyone in this business is difficult but as you develop a core group of members in the gym it really helps the growing process. Our members are amazing and a lot of them have been with us since we started and I couldn’t do this without their amazing support.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the CrossFit Fh story. Tell us more about the business.
CrossFit FH is the newest gym in the Chandler area and is unlike any other in town. Our gym is attached to a much larger facility, KTR. Our gym specializes in not specializing, meaning we mix all components of fitness into our program. Each day when you come to class will be something completely different than the day before which makes things more exciting and also prepares members for anything I can throw at them. Because we are attached to KTR we have a much better childcare, if you have a 3 to 5 year old you can send them to our preschool class while you work out with the 9am class. If you have multiple kids ages 3 and up they can run around the entire facility in the afternoons while you attend one of our classes.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The industry burst onto the scene back in 2007 and has continued to grow ever since. Most CrossFit gyms are known for building a great community of people within their gym and we are no different. Our gym is comprised mostly of large families because of the facility that we are in and I see us doing nothing but continuing to grow here at CrossFit FH.
