Meredith, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have personally struggled with my skin and it was so hard for me to find a trusted Esthetician that knew how to treat my skin and create customizable treatments. After many visits and finding someone who could improve my skin I finally decided I wanted to change my career and help others like myself.
Improving my skin was such a confidence builder for me. Let’s face it, our face is the first thing everyone looks at when they first meet you. You want it to look its best with or without makeup.
I also quickly realized that not everyone’s service needs are the same, Some want more aggressive treatments and others do not. I needed the ability to offer medical aesthetic treatments too. To accomplish this, I got a medical director and then did further continuing education/training which now allows me to offer such a wide range of services. We have quickly grown from an Urban Spa to an Urban Med Spa.
My clients are the heart of my business and I always strive to ensure I passionately service each client by providing personalized skin care services and building trusting, rewarding relationships to help my clients achieve healthy beautiful skin that everyone so deserves.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing comes for free in life. I am a true believer that if you are passionate about something and work hard at it, you will be rewarded in many different ways. I have started this business on my own. I call myself “the every finger” because I do everything from being the Aesthetician, bookings, to the books, marketing, social media etc.
Thomas Edison failed a 1000x before he invented the light bulb, But someone once told me he did not fail, it just took him 1000 steps to get there. It has been a very challenging road since I started.
However, nothing has been more rewarding to me since my business has finally started to take off and I have can continue passionately treating all my clients.

My company is an Urban Beauty Med Spa where we offer and invest in your Skincare, Health and Beauty needs.
