Today we’d like to introduce you to Lars Romig.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I am from the small mining town of Jerome! I’ve had an eclectic upbringing and have always strived to stand out from the crowd. I fell in love with adventuring towards the end of high school, but I had already earned the term from my friends of a “Lars Adventure.” I love to share these adventures and show the amazing places this earth has to offer!!!!! You’ll find me by Bike, Foot, Rope and any other modality to experience this world.
I’m also an active advocate of cycling and trails. Working with the local nonprofit the Verde Valley Cyclists Coalition. I hope to better the experience in Sedona and the Verde Valley. Trails don’t just appear!!!! I live and ride by the mantra “No Dig No Ride.”
Photos have always been an artistic expression for me. I love sharing the world through my eyes!!!!!
Please tell us about your art.
I love being outside and trying to capture the world as it appears to me. Looking at the land to see what vantage exposes the beauty and feel of the land. Many of my adventures are in Sedona and are the result of numerous outings that bring me to a closer look but a different vantage. Each outing has me finding a new place I want to stand to take in the view.
Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
I think the world we live in has evolved into a much more social world as everything has. Knowing the artist through their experiences on social media has become a big part of the actual art. You get to see the stories that accompany the end product.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
Currently, all my work is online www.perspectiveparadigm.com or my day to day adventures are shared on Instagram @mountainmongo.
