Meet Kyle Richardson of Watermark Wealth Strategies in Chandler and Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Richardson.

Kyle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Started out wanting to focus on helping people in one manner or another. I was fortunate enough to be guided by several individuals that have been influential in my professional growth. I have an entrepreneurial spirit that is driven to help an individual succeed. My passion is helping individuals and families accomplish their retirement planning goals. But this achievement goes far beyond dollars and cents, it truly focuses on helping families achieve their lifelong dreams.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business from scratch is always poses challenges and my situation is no different. I almost switched careers early on due to the difficulties of being a young 20’s something adviser. But through great mentoring and guidance, I was able to remain focused and disciplined on following my business plan. This discipline allowed me to see the positive impact I was making in other families lives and that feeling of accomplishment kept me on the road to where I am now.

Please tell us about Watermark Wealth Strategies.
We are a full-service retirement and estate planning firm that helps families focus on retirement. Once a family reaches retirement, well, that is where the real work begins. This begins the distribution phase of retirement and this is where we find we can make a profound impact on a families lives and overall family wealth. We specialize in working with high net worth families with assets of a million dollars or greater. Unfortunately, we cannot be all things to all people. We learned early on that our exceptional level of client service really catered to the high net worth family. Our goal is to exceed exceptions at every client touch or interaction.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I was a wrestler growing up and my favorite memory has to be when I won the national championships in Greco Roman wrestling. I’ll never forget running off the mat and my dad must have excitedly thrown me up, what felt like. 20 feet in the air!
