Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Guimarin.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was born and raised in a small town in Southern Illinois. My life has been blessed in so many ways. At the top of that list of blessings is my family.
As a woman, I proudly wear many titles: wife, mother, chauffeur, chef, CEO, and “daddy’s girl”. Throughout my life my father (“Pop” to my children) has taught me not only by his words but by his amazing example. He instilled in me that I could do anything I set my mind to do and that the only limitations I had were those I placed upon myself.
My father is a man of integrity, passion and compassion. His passion for coffee inspired my founding of Pop’s Coffee. His compassion for others inspired our philanthropic twist.
I attended Southern Illinois University (SIU) and obtained a degree in Political Science, and became a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority.
I began my career in the legal field starting in St. Louis and went on to become a corporate litigation paralegal at one of the largest firms in Denver.
I proudly serve a number of non-profit organizations including the Junior League of Phoenix, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Streetlight USA.
I am proud to be featured in the 2020 KNOW Book + Tribe, a publication and community for exceptional women.
When I’m not working or volunteering, I enjoy focusing on health and wellness through nutrition and fitness. I compete in fitness and bikini competitions and I was recently showcased in Natural Bikini Magazine.
My husband Chris and our two children Savoya and Milan are my everything and their love and support sustain me.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Pop’s Coffee is a truly a labor of love for me. I started Pop’s in the retail sector with sales directed toward grocers and boutiques. I realized very quickly that this was not the direction for me, this was not following my heart. My heart is with helping others, especially children, and giving back.
With a clear purpose and vision Pop’s Support our Troops and Fundraising Programs emerged.
I am now proud to say that Pop’s Coffee is a company that lives by its values and is committed to enriching the lives of other like-minded people and causes.
Please tell us about Pop’s Coffee.
Pop’s is a coffee company with a philanthropic twist.
When you buy a bag of Pop’s Coffee you are supporting the protectors of America. We are proud to support our active military through our Support our Troops Program. For every bag of coffee sold we donate a bag of coffee to our troops. You buy a bag – We donate a bag – www.popscoffee.net
Additionally, Pop’s Fundraising Program is our way of helping others, especially children, fulfill their dreams. Today schools, youth programs and churches are needing to raise more and more money. Our high producing program leverages the multi-billion dollar coffee industry allowing groups to do just that, raise money. They retain 50% of all sales and there are no out-of-pocket expenses. It is a win-win.
Pop’s Coffee is now the perfect blend of passion and compassion.
