Meet Justine Grace Garcia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justine Grace Garcia.

Hi Justine Grace, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
At fifteen, I picked up a camera when I helped my cousin shoot a little wedding. It wasn’t until long after that that I decided I wanted to learn more about photography. Fast forward a couple of years later, I’m starting a business as a wedding and elopement photographer!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business is never easy; there are a lot of hardships that I encountered. Such struggles included thinking I’m not good enough and that the market is “over-saturated” with other photographers. However, I could think more abundantly and clearly after a mindset shift. After all, it’s not about me but about who I can serve and how I can serve my clients to the best of my abilities!

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a wedding and elopement photographer based in Phoenix, Arizona. As my bio on Instagram says, I will travel for love, good vibes, and coffee–this is still true! I am light and airy photographer who strives to capture the raw and unfiltered emotions that my couples and their friends/families feel on the most important day of their lives. I capture my couples, say their vows, and I do to the love of their lives, starting their forever-ever-after! Something about weddings lights up my soul!

We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking.
I feel like the word risk has too many different meanings behind it. Doing anything any day is a risk to me! Staying “safe” is riskier than the risk itself. For example, you dream of starting a business but your friends and your families tell you it’s a terrible idea and that starting a business is unstable and risky. Do it anyways. Not taking a risk and playing it safe is a risk in itself. I’ve never viewed myself as a risk taker. Lately, I’ve found myself to be taking more “risks.” The most recent “risk” I jumped for was leaving my nursing career to focus more on my photography business. Yes, I love it that much.
