Meet Josh and Brandy Susuras of Maxmoments Photography in West

Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh and Brandy Susuras.

Josh and Brandy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
We are a husband and wife photography team. It all started with my brandy’s love of photography. She started out photographing families. I saw what beautiful work she was producing and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I started studying, taking classes and practicing nonstop. We shot our first wedding as a team about 6 months later. I was hooked! I knew this is what I wanted to do the rest of my life. There is something about wedding photography that you can’t get from any other job. They are so much fun and you meet so many amazing people.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting a business is hard. There were times where we didn’t know how we were going to pay our mortgage. We know this is going to grow beyond our imaginations and we will keep pushing on. Even though it is scary at times there is a huge sense of freedom that comes with owning your own business.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Maxmoments Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a photography team. We specialize in weddings however we love doing family photography. Brandy can capture moments like nobody else and I create art with my photographs. I enjoy slightly posed visually stunning photos. We are so blessed to have gotten to this point and we look forward to the future.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t think we can call it luck. We are blessed to have a family that supports us. We have 5 children and without our family we could never shoot weddings every weekend.
