Jenna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a mom of 2 young princesses, ages 2 and 4, our lives and passions revolve around fairytales and happily ever after. While planning our first family trip to our favorite theme park Jason, my husband, and I were struck with the realization that we weren’t going for the rides, we were going just for the experience of witnessing our daughters as they saw their first and favorite princess. To a 4-year-old, even tea cups seem daunting! My husband said at the time he wished there was an easier way to bring the experience to them.
That is when it struck me… with our business background we could really make a difference; make the possibility of the in-home experience more accessible so that every child could have a princess or superhero at their party, and provide a higher standard of quality people are able to trust.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Like any new endeavor, there are challenges: from finding the right talent and costume/wig suppliers to navigating an extremely regulated environment. Those are pretty minor obstacles compared to most other businesses, so I have been very blessed.
The biggest challenges I face now is spreading awareness of our brand and differentiating the Fair Maidens & Masks experience in a highly saturated industry that has varying levels of quality. Fortunately, people and organizations are starting to catch on to us! In the 5 short months we have been in business, Fair Maidens & Masks has been a featured company for many trusted organizations like the Phoenix Zoo, Boys & Girls Club, and numerous other events and schools. That has led to repeated character appearances on FOX 10 News, Channel 12 News, and ABC15. Our services are starting to spread to other families just like ours who want an authentic and magical experience for their children.

Our company stands for quality, authenticity, safety and service and that shows in every single party we serve. We invested in the highest-quality costumes, wigs and accessories. Our performers are all experienced actors, singers and/or teachers who are put through a rigorous audition and training process. These details all ensure the superhero or princess they are portraying come to life! In addition, all cast members undergo background checks and Fair Maidens & Masks is licensed and fully-insured.
Our passion for service doesn’t just extend to our clients. What is very exciting for us is using our company as a means to give back to our community, especially children who are ill or are in the foster care program. If we can bring some innocence and magic into their lives that is what I am most passionate about!
