Jeff and Luke, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Me (Jeff Gulino), Luke Goodell and Mikey Sarratt have all worked together at Highnoon tattoo for about 10 yrs now and we thought that expanding by creating a private studio. Between the 3 of us we have been tattooing in the vallay a combined 40+ years. We have always prided ourselves in doing cool tattoos in a fun enviroment … Without all the mainstream garbage that has invaded tattooing.
Has it been a smooth road?
Not at all hahahaha lot of ups and downs, fights and all. But in the end we can always seperate the bs from what’s important. Remain successful and maintain out friendships.
Tattooing is a very different business then most … I think its why most shops fail, too much “rock and roll” not enough business or vice versa …. Its a 50/50 thing.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Moon lounge story. Tell us more about the business.
Tattoos …. quality and customer service all in a fun enviroment … That’s hard to find all in one tattoo shop.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
There are always shifts in our business … But the ones who do the job properly always rise to the top, but over all we do well in almost any economy.
