Meet Imran Hassan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Imran Hassan.

Hi Imran, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Today I am a happy travel photographer. In common sense, I have been taking photos all my life but I did not take it seriously as a photography skill until late 2020 which is when I got myself a DSLR camera. While learning how to use a DSLR I started posting on Instagram regularly. It gave me instant feedback on my work. I soon realized I needed to work on my post-processing skills and that is how I got into Adobe Lightroom. I also studied others’ work.

I followed successful people online. The more I explored photography the more possibilities seemed endless.

I fell in love with photography! Fast forward to 2022 and I am spending more time with other photographers and improving my skills. I join local competitions and online photography contests. I was lucky enough to win a couple (top photo in and top pick in Although I am mostly into travel photography these days, I try shooting everything I possibly can from products to animals and landscapes.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Where there is no struggle, there is absolutely no progress. Being a photographer I have had my share of struggles and continue to deal with them on a daily basis. While it is easy to take out a phone and click pictures, it takes a bit of learning to understand what makes professional photographers stand out and how some make a living out of it.

From the learning curves of using a DSLR, to post-processing techniques, to exploring different genres of photography and hundreds of camera lenses out there, it can get overwhelming very quickly. I had to tell myself that if I am struggling it means I was progressing. Knowing the strengths and limitations of your gear and knowledge is important when picking up any skill and working on projects.

Additionally, for photography, I think it matters where you live. I am in Arizona, USA so I get to shoot some beautiful landscapes often. But I do not get to shoot photos at the beach unless I travel. It helps that I love photography so looking at obstacles as opportunities make it easier for me.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I focus mostly on travel photography. Naturally, I travel a lot. I try to capture moments I want to relive again. When I am not traveling I shoot products and still life.

You can see some of my work here at,, and and can find how my work has changed since I started in 2020.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I look forward to traveling more in the next few years and shooting photos. It is never enough. More importantly, I am looking forward to keeping working on my photography skills, engaging more with photographers, and keep updating my list of top 5 proud photos.

I am also coming out soon at with a set of custom lightroom presets that I use all the time. So watch out for those and subscribe to my website to be up to date on new releases.
