Meet Gina Caruso of ADORN WITH SOUL in Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gina Caruso.

Gina, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I began designing jewelry 20 years ago while working in an art gallery in the arts district in downtown Scottsdale. It’s very quiet during the summer months in the galleries… you get excited to see the mailman. So, this was a perfect time to begin my journey designing jewelry.

Always having been drawn to ethnic architecture and design was my choice for the jewelry

I use beads and amulets from Morocco, Tibet, Turkey, Ethiopia, New Mexico, and Arizona. These beads include turquoise, coral, amethyst, quartz, amber, lapis, freshwater pearls, silver, brass, copper and many other stones and gems. All of the pieces are one of a kind and can often take weeks to complete.

Several of my exhibitions have been in Scottsdale, Sedona and the Broadmore hotel in Colorado. One of my collector’s said I should name my collections “Adorn With Soul” which I have.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Designing my pieces is pure joy and puts me in a very happy place.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about ADORN WITH SOUL – what should we know?
I specialize mainly in ethnic designs and some freshwater pearl necklaces… but… they will have a touch of ethnicity as well.

They will most certainly add “pizzazz” to your fashion.

How do you define success?
It makes me very happy to see someone who loves and is excited to wear my one of a kind pieces.
