Meet Franca Amoroso-Chang and Ana Toma of Century 21 Toma Partners in Biltmore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Franca Amoroso-Chang and Ana Toma.

Franca and Ana, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Italian married to a Chinese international civil servant, life has taken me around the world: meeting people of all ethnicity, religions and cultures. I am who I am today because of it.

Phoenix was just another stop when I came for a friend’s wedding. My husband and I fell in love with the landscape, the friendly people and the climate at first sight. After a short settling in phase I decided to follow my dream and get my Real Estate license. When living in Geneva I was a volunteer at the UNWG’s (united Nations Women’s Guild ) I have always loved helping others and I know it’s a cliché but in RE I can use my skills helping my clients by being a good listener and try to find solutions to problems that might arise, together. Why did I join Toma? After interviewing several RE companies I decided to join Century 21 Toma Partners mainly because of the family atmosphere. I stayed because of it I know can always count on the support of not only my Broker but all of the other agents. We help each other without putting a $ sign first.

We must be doing something right since our clients very often become part of our extended family and this year I was blessed by having a few of them around my Thanksgiving Table.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
RE school prepares us for the business and covers some of the problems we might encounter but it does not teach us about filling that first contract or most important how to interact with clients and other agents. We have to be not only the knowledgeable Professional but we have to be there for our clients emotional ups and downs. After all for most of our clients purchasing a home is probably the biggest financial decision in their life.

The biggest obstacle for me and other realtors is “I got my License now what? How do I get clients” The biggest struggle is definitely marketing ourselves. After a few sales, referrals follow but we can’t be complacent and seat back we must pursue the next client and networking is a must in our business.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Century 21 Toma Partners – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I specialize in Residential Real Estate, mostly resale. I have worked with sellers and investors but I love to help first time buyers, I still remember the excitement of owning my first home. I like to educate my clients about the process of home buying, the different AZ Grant programs that might allow them to buy sooner rather than later.

I am also proud to be one of a few NAR Green Designees in Az. I care about the environment and like to share my passion and be a source of information for like-minded clients who think of renovating and would like to include green features to their home.

Century 21 is one of the largest and most recognized name in Real Estate but let’s not forget that each is individually owned and managed, Toma Partners has retained that family atmosphere that first attracted me to it. I believe we are so successful because we always put our client’s needs first. For us it’s not about the sale but about the relationships we can build.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future are to continue doing the job I love, grow my business and build new relationships.

I might not be the biggest seller in my company but both my colleagues and clients appreciate my efforts and respect me as a RE agent and an individual. I can’t ask for anything more.
