Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica V. Walton .
Hi Erica V., please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In 2014, I wrote my first book, A Diva Evolving. It started out as a therapeutic exercise. Writing allowed me space to release a lot of traumatic memories. After writing that book I started attending therapy, healing workshops and life coaching seminars. All which lead me to writing thirteen books, creating affirmation apparel accessories and hosting healing events & retreats. Each book birthed new projects and have taken me all over the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road hasn’t been smooth. However, I feel speed bumps, pot holes and detours are necessary to keep you awake. I’ve experienced losing friends and potential business partners on the way. New life altering events have raised as well. From traumatic birth complications (I still have a life outside of my business) to finding balance in my marriage. Those are things you cannot prepare for. No matter how organized you are, life happens. I’ve found a way to use it all for inspiration. I’m a happily married woman. I’ve birthed thirteen children and the bonus mother of one. There’s never a dull moment nor smooth ride on this path.
As you know, we’re big fans of Evolving Diva Inc. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My company assists women in many capacities on their journeys. I host wellness getaways, monthly self care groups, teach branding and marketing, as well as host event discussions for the community. I’m mostly known for my authenticity. Many people in my profession are polished and proper, whereas I’m rough around the edges without a filter. I’m most proud that women have a genuine connection to me. They feel safe and comfortable enough to be free in my presence. That means the world to me because most people have a fear of self acceptance. Hosting the events I have attract people from all walks of life.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memories are the ones where I could be free. Free to read books and get lost in the stories. Free to write and create what was relatable to me. I loved to play dress up and watch tv shows to pretend I was one of the characters.
- My retreats are roughly $600-$2500 depending on the location.
- My workshops are $15 to $350 depending upon the lessons.
