Christopher, it’s been too long since we last connected. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with our community again. Some readers might have missed our prior conversations, so maybe you can kick things off for us with a quick intro?
I am an artist that uses twitch to show off more “behind the scenes” to my artwork. I also enjoy playing video games live to my audience. I play a variety of games ranging from major titles, to crowd funded indie games. I enjoy entertaining others, it has been a passion of mine ever since i was a kid, and plan on entertaining so much more in the coming future.
What inspired you to create art?
The idea of creating images from my head was always something that intrigued me. However, my father is my main source of inspiration. He taught me so much, from finding my own style, to trying different styles that push my creative thought process.
What would you want to accomplish with your art?
My goal is what it has always been, to give back to the community that I grew up in. I want to be able to donate art supplies to low income schools. Art was always a great way to express myself, and to be able to let others experience that as well, is a goal I work so hard to achieve,
What do people find entertaining when you live stream your art on your Twitch Channel?
I feel like people enjoy seeing my “work in progress”. I always talk through what I am doing, and have been told by so many, that it helps them develop techniques they wouldn’t have done before. I enjoy teaching others how I work on projects, and to do it essentially for free feels so amazing! I love it when people draw with me, and they share their artwork with me usually after I stream.
What is your favorite medium to work with?
I absolutely enjoy working on digital art. It saves so much money on supplies, and it allows me to draw things I wouldn’t normally draw. I honestly believe that digital art is a driving force for young artists, and it shows that with time, art progresses even more. That being said, painting will always hold a special place in my heart! Just the idea of working on a canvas, using colors that blend, pop and create depth, feels so amazing. I also love how my hands can get so messy with paint, and the canvas just pop with the subject I chose. Honestly, there is no better feeling for me.
What makes you a unique channel on Twitch?
I feel like my interactions with my viewers makes me unique. If I am playing a game, I actively encourage my audience to chat with me, use channel points to make the game more difficult, or even scare me on occasion. It’s honestly so amazing that people choose to watch me live on Twitch, they literally could be watching anything else from Netflix, to other popular streamers, but they choose to come to my stream, and that is something I will never take for granted.
What inspired you to work on your art, live on Twitch?
Honestly, it was an idea I almost didn’t run with. I am very hard on myself when it comes to coming up with ideas for my stream, and I just didn’t feel like people would find an art stream interesting. Later, I was asked by one of my viewers if I did anything else other than gaming, and I had shown off some of my art work. One thing led to another and now I set up “Draw a viewer” and various “Custom Shoes” streams.
Thank you so much again for sharing all of this with us. Before we go, can you share with our readers how they can connect with you, learn more or show support?
