Meet Blake Andrews of Giveback Homes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Blake Andrews.

Hi Blake, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Over ten years ago, I completely transformed my life when I went to work for my good friend Blake Mycoskie and the social good movement he started with TOMS. That’s where I learned and experienced the power of business with a positive impact and ultimately what inspired me to start Giveback Homes. When I was first going through the home-buying process myself, I had the idea of applying a similar model to the real estate industry and help families in need of safe homes. Now, I’m living in Phoenix with my amazing wife and kids. Starting my family and a creating a business that helps communities in need are my greatest joys and proudest achievements.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Every day is a new obstacle and a new challenge for families and businesses but having the perseverance, patience, and stamina to push through is what leads to success and legacy in anything that you do.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Giveback Homes?
Giveback Homes mobilizes individuals, teams, and real estate companies to make a positive impact in their communities and throughout the world. Together, we help provide safe homes, fresh meals, and clean water, to communities in need.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Business is personal. Pay attention to who sticks by your side through it all and give them your focus, time, and support. We’re grateful to our partners like The Agency and Concierge Auctions, who have believed in Giveback Homes from the beginning and have doubled down, wanting to give more, especially through a crisis. I give my team all of the support they need, so they can have the confidence and strength to be that person for someone else.
