Today we’d like to introduce you to Asiria Valenzuela.
Asiria, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Throughout the years I have explored different disciplines that seem distant from each other; however, now that I have focused on the therapeutic path and emotional healing all these disciplines add strength to make me a professional in the area.
I have the title of Graphic Designer of the Universidad Iberoamericana Northwest campus from Tijuana, Mx, where I graduated with honors. The passion that I have for the human body and for rediscovering who I was leads me to study dance; I was a professional dancer of contemporary dance. This experience opened the door to live what I am now. Through the body, I perceive, feels and have learned to lead others on his way to self-discovery.
In 2008, by “accident”, I started to take Yoga classes, where I discovered that in addition to the body, there is a fundamental factor for every human being, the soul. The search for my encounter with myself leads me to study Yoga and at the same time meets Fanny Doran; who becomes her therapist and an inspiration to move forward.
I finished my training as a teacher of 200 hours of yoga in 2013.
In 2014, I made the decision of studied at Southwest of Healing Arts and received my Diploma as a Yoga Therapist graduating with 300 hours of Yoga.
It also obtains the Certification of 200 hours in Polarity. In 2015, I finished my Certification as Online Masters in Cooking and Vegetarian Nutrition 70% Cruda.
In March 2017, I graduated as a Bach Practitioner Foundation Registered Practitioner from England. Before that, I obtained my Master Reiki certification, and I teach the three levels of traditional Reiki Ussui which I love because I see the transformation in my students.
I certified as a Healing Therapist with Angeles and I have taken courses in Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Auriculotherapy, and Human Development.
Currently, I continue my preparation as a Holistic/energy therapist under a Systemic Therapy and I am committed to health of mind, body and soul and I persist with my Yoga project with the Hispanic community.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, many times I felt that I am swimming against the waves. When you believe in things like Yoga or energy work, people judge you. I wanted to give up, somehow, I continued; I recover my strength, my faith.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
My specialties are Yoga 200, 500 hours = Yin Yoga, PTSD Yoga, Vinyasa, Restorative Yoga. I do my own Yoga Therapy class and I include Aromatherapy and Reiki.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
My success is the conviction that I have for this philosophy of life. For me a healthy life is a lifestyle, not a luxury that some prefer to pay; living fully is a decision and I want to share it with those who are willing to make a permanent change.
