Today we’d like to introduce you to Ameer Sweiss.
Ameer, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
When I was in college for Film, I used to work on many different movie sets. I always loved how the light set ups worked and how light created a special mood, depending on the types of light used. I was so interested that I decided to purchase my own custom lights and start using them for different projects.
From then on, I decided to start up a business revolving around lighting rentals and it took off very quickly. Before I knew it, I was setting up lighting at events all around the valley. I absolutely love how I can bring the perfect setting to any and all events, ranging from Weddings to City Festivals.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
If it was smooth, everyone would be doing it! There has definitely been some struggles that I have had to deal with, but it has all been worth it. Problems ranging from lights not working the day of the event, to clients breaking some of the equipment, to the long nights trying to figure out how ASPRO can be the best in Arizona. I have never given up and that is why I am where I am today.
Please tell us about ASPRO Lighting.
ASPRO specializes in lighting rentals and set up. We are known for our beautiful lighting set ups and the way we bring a unique mood to each event. We are most proud of the fact that every event is treated as if it is the most important or largest event in the Arizona, even if it is a small birthday party. We want every set up of ours to be perfect. The fact that we treat every event like it’s our last and the quality of work we put out sets us far apart from others.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If we had to start over, we would have purchased many more lights a lot sooner because of the demand we’ve found there to be.
