Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Lundberg.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Alexis. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My start in the real estate and design industry was in 2004 when I worked for a commercial contractor in Bellevue Washington where I managed project and client progress and got my first taste at reading plans and working with different trades. By 2005 my husband and I moved back to Arizona to be near friends and the sunny weather. We both immediately jumped into the real estate market in some aspect and eventually began renovating, flipping, designing and staging homes. What started as just staging homes for my husband’s company, choosing design finishes and renovating our own home quickly grew into a staging and design business for others. Lexi Grace Design now is a team of four and we have a lot of fun working with both staging and design clients in residential and commercial spaces. It has been so fun to growing in this industry, meeting other creatives and small business owners, and being able to work with amazing clients.
Has it been a smooth road?
Am I allowed to write – hahaha?!? 😉 I wouldn’t say the road has been smooth, but I think every struggle has created an opportunity to learn and grow and hopefully help us serve our clients better. As a small business owner I think it’s common to struggle with fear of how much of a leap to take… how many employees to bring on, how much to invest, both in time and resources. How do I balance work and being a mom… I’m learning now to take risks… if it doesn’t pay off or work out, that’s ok. The worst that can happen is it doesn’t work… so you just start over, try something new! I also struggle with making dinner- I would say that’s a daily challenge too! 😉
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Lexi Grace Design – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Lexi Grace Design is a home staging and design company. We offer design services for home owners, business owners, builders, and investors. We assist in the design process from the ground up whether it is a new build, remodel or just a room refresh. We use our design knowledge and experience when working with our staging clients as well, bringing empty spaces to life for potential buyers with our furniture and decor. We have a bright and airy style that is both fresh and inviting. Our hope is that we can create beautiful spaces where others can come together to work, play, live, laugh, love, rest and belong… so that everyone has a place and a people.
As a company I am most proud of the heart we have behind our work. It is our goal to not only turn over beautiful and well-designed spaces for our clients, but that these spaces will then be a place where laughter happens, where people feel safe, where conversation can be great, where there is rest, and love. We really want each of our projects to not only look beautiful but will also encourage a sense of belonging, inspiration, a sense of home, a sense of place.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Being from Seattle I think it is obvious to say I like the SUN! 🙂 But besides that, one thing I like about living in the Phoenix area is the creative and small business culture that lives here,… and BEYOND that culture there tends to be a lot of heart and a greater story behind each of these creatives and small businesses. We have been in Gilbert for 12 years and it has been a lot of fun to see the growth and changes, but one of my favorite things about our town is that there are still rows of corn, and horses here. Not everywhere… we aren’t the middle of nowhere like some might think! But, there is still a little bit of country, and a little bit of small town feel, and that is really nice. I would LOVE more small business in Gilbert, and more local retail to go along with all the yummy restaurants we have now!
