Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexia Young.
Hi Alexia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Haus De Reina is an online fashion boutique that was made in 2020 but established in 2022 with the hopes of bringing the hottest fashion to anyone’s front door. I decided I wanted to start this business after having my first daughter A’Laiya whom the boutique is actually named after… Reina is her middle name which also means Queen so the meaning of my business name actually is “house of queens.”
I wanted the name to have a strong meaning, be appealing to the eye, and be named after her so she will be able to take over one day in the future. When I started my boutique, I had no idea the amount of support I would receive. I was one of those women that postponed starting my own business due to the personal fear of people’s opinions or who would support me or even buy what I was offering. I took a huge leap of faith and have never looked back! I created my brand with a passion to create a one-of-a-kind shopping experience for all women.
I had a strong desire to create a site where women of all shapes, ages, sizes, and budgets can find their dream outfits and slay effortlessly!! The packaging alone will make you want to order from my boutique. What sets us apart from most besides our fire selections is the vibe and customer service we offer. You definitely can not find it anywhere else. I like to socialize with my customers and make a safe environment where they are comfortable speaking about what may look good on them, suggestions for outfits, how items may fit on them, etc.
I want my customers to always feel comfortable shopping with me. The main goal is to open a storefront where all women have a safe place to come shop and become returning customers. One thing I take ultimate pride in is the fact my brand is organically made. I have built my brand from the ground up with no paid ads, no paid promos, no paid articles, etc. Just hard work, networking, and consistency.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Every business owner has struggles. Success has been a long rocky road that sometimes has sunshine and rainbows, and some days real bad thunderstorms. I have learned a lot of lessons along the way but a big one I want people to realize is strangers will be your biggest supporters/customers. Strangers will literally be your biggest fans!
Once you get your brand out there to the rest of the world the success comes with ease. I consider myself successful due to the fact I have not been in business for more than two years and have had multiple articles written about me and my brand. People come across my brand and see the potential in it due to the hard work and consistency I put into it. Many people work for years and still don’t achieve the goals they set.
One thing I can say about myself, I achieve every goal I set. I know in my heart, that one day, I will truly be successful. No two people’s walk will be the same, just because it happened overnight for one person doesn’t mean the same for you… And just because someone fails at something you want to try doesn’t mean you will fail too.
Have faith in yourself and your brand and yourself and watch you conquer those fears and obstacles.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Haus De Reina is more than just a women’s boutique. I want to start a movement within my brand to empower everyday women to know they do not have to look like everyone else, and having your own style speaks way louder than copying someone else’s.
We are known for our fire selections and specializing in trendy clothing but we are also known for helping the everyday woman BOSS UP! With my brand, I have helped women all around my city start a business, or at least get that vision out of their heads and onto paper. I use my platform to advocate for women starting businesses and how to excel in them. I post inspirational posts all the time to inspire the everyday girl that they can chase after their dreams as well!
I give out tips left and right on all social media platforms to help women educate themselves regarding everything business. I take pride in how many women I inspire on a daily to chase whatever dream they may have. Due to my social media presence, I had the opportunity to speak at the women in a leadership conference on a panel for FIU but due to unfortunate circumstances, I could not attend.
They have invited me to next year’s event and I am more than excited to share my experiences so far with other like-mind women. My drive to help girls no matter if they pass me is what makes me different. The styles I spend hours to find definitely make me different, and the ambition I have to reach every goal sets me apart from most.
My journey has only just begun in the fashion world and I CAN NOT wait to leave my mark!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
If you don’t follow me on my social media you may not know that I am a mommy of 3 beautiful kids.
I work a full-time job and still manage to run a full-time online boutique. Some call me super mom, others call me inspirational many call me bad ash.
But I just think of myself as an everyday mom trying to break generational curses and leave a legacy for my babies.
