Life & Work with Carly Wilsey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carly Wilsey.

Hi Carly, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My business really came into light after going through my own personal experience with my health and competing as an NPC Figure Competitor for four years. I learned the hard way that being healthy wasn’t and isn’t a “look” but rather multiple different feelings, both physically and mentally.

Getting and staying healthy wasn’t about having abs or being 5% body fat but actually, about how you FEEL, how you sleep, the food you eat, the habits you build with exercise and food and the relationship you have with your body. Loving it for all that it is, instead of comparing and hating it for all that it is not. The name “The Health Babe” came about after years of realizing that nothing is more important than being HEALTHY from the inside, out and that’s the way I live today.

My business has taught and continues to teach women all over the US that crash fad diets are not the answer to long-lasting healthy results or a healthy mind and body. I teach women both online and in person how to build confidence in themselves and in the gym. My business has gotten to where it’s at today because I’m keeping it real and teaching women how to really create healthy, long-lasting habits and healthy relationships with both food and exercise to ensure a healthy lifestyle.

The real way of getting healthy, no short cuts, no juice cleanses. Just hard work, consistency, discipline paired with the right eating regimen and workouts that you enjoy and align you with your goals. My motto…keep it simple, less is more and don’t overcomplicate it. I’m beyond excited to see what the future holds for The Health Babe, as I know I’m going to continue to reach hundreds of other women around the world and teach them that they to can become the best, healthiest versions of themselves and that their health is the MOST important thing they can work on.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! I’m human and I’ve gone through a lot of my own personal health struggles, especially mentally. When those health struggles took place I took a step back from my business and in doing so this had me questionning whether or not I was capable of this. If this was really where I was supposed to be. After healing from my own health challenges it became more clear than ever that I was in fact exactly where I was supposed to be and that God had put me through my personal struggles so that I could better relate with other women and be the motivation they need to get through whatever gets thrown there way.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I offer 1:1 and small group training at my husband’s and I’s gym in Gilbert AZ, called TG The Gym Mesa! I also offer 3 different online training programs as well as a 12 week customized nutrition program. I train and work with women only and I specialize in teaching women how to workout in a gym without having any gym anxiety and making sure exercise form is PERFECT. I also specialize in habit building. I teach women that if you want to keep the results you must replace unhealthy habits with healthy habits and stay consistent with both nutrition and exercise. I’m known for motivating others. I’m very consistent with my routine and I walk the walk and don’t or won’t make my clients do anything that I haven’t or won’t do.

I’m most proud of The Health Babe community being built, my #Healthygirlgang is growing and this excites me. What set’s me apart from others is my discipline as a coach. I’m there 24/7 to answer any and all questions and I’m there for my girls, I listen to what they need and we work together to build the best program so that they can achieve their goals and feel their best. I’m doing everything I tell my girls to do. I meal prep weekly, I drink my water, I exercise, I get good quality sleep, and I don’t make excuses. I prioritize my health and there aren’t too many coaches who “say as I do” but rather more “do as I say.”

What does success mean to you?
For many, success is achieving a goal or becoming famous or even getting rich. I believe that success is also achieving the small tasks and goals within life, the ones that no one sees. Success is continuing to believe in yourself when no one is watching, when no one is cheering you on. Success is your results being shown in the light from all the discipline done in the dark.
