Inspiring Conversations with Victoria Stout of Mozy & Malone’s Bully Bakery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Stout.

Hi Victoria, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Bully Bakery has always been a dream of mine. Growing up, dogs were always a huge part of my life, alongside one of my favorite passions, baking. I made my very first “Pupcakes,” Dog Cakes, and cookies at just 13 years old and continued making them yearly for my personal dogs as a tradition.

In college, I decided to start getting more actively involved in dog rescues and shelters and realized there was such a need for change in the animal world. After two years of being heavily involved in those efforts, and after adopting both my rescue dogs, Mozy and Malone, I decided to mesh my two passions into one and create a dog bakery that could give back to the dog rescue world, while also encouraging dog owners to celebrate their dogs with healthy and adorable gourmet treats.

Bully Bakery was not only created to bring dog owners together, but also to bring awareness to both the dog rescue community, and the commonly misunderstood bully breed.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Luckily, I have been very blessed to have amazing support from friends, family, and other local businesses. We have had a ton of support from the Arizona Dog Rescue community and dog owners alike.

However, like most other new and small businesses, there are challenges we face daily, and always strive for improvement. We are living in a world with constant changes and we try our best to adapt to them and become better overall.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Mozy and Malone’s Bully Bakery is a woman-owned dog bakery based out of Mesa, Arizona.

We specialize in Custom Dog Cakes, Pupcakes, Cookies, Ice Cream, Donuts, and other frozen treats, made 100% dog safe and drool-worthy for all pups. Our human-grade treats range in flavors and design and are perfect for any occasion. We do monthly givebacks to local dog rescues and shelters and do pop-up shops for local dog fundraising events.

What sets us apart from other local dog bakeries is that 1) We specialize in customization. Anything you can dream of, we can make, including custom dog party favors or even logo branded promo products for businesses, 2) We work with and give back to local rescue and shelters monthly, and 3) Our number priority is quality customer service. You and your dog’s happiness and satisfaction are our #1 priority.

Brand-wise, we are most proud of our logo and message. Mozy and Malone are both my two rescue survivors and bully breeds. We proudly represent the misunderstood bully breed community that represents over 80% of the shelter dog population in Arizona. We also proudly stand as advocates for dog rescue and the Adopt, don’t shop mentality.

We are creating a positive environment for people to educate themselves and spoil their pups with treats. We are based out of Mesa, but serve all surrounding areas! Constantly adding new and fun products, so please check out our website’s menu at to order today!

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Personally, for me, networking has been a huge part of my business’s success. I attribute most of my networking to being actively involved with the rescue world and promoting my products and mission on social media networks.

I have also found that word of mouth is essential. Making sure your service is top-notch and your customers are happy goes a long way.
