Inspiring Conversations with Ryan & Kimberly Thompson of SweetSauce Apparel & Printing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan & Kimberly Thompson. Them and their team share their story with us below:

SweetSauce Apparel started when Ryan was 16 years old and in high school, with one random drawing that turned into the logo of the brand. The first shirt is with a message to “Spread Love Destroy Hate” streaming from witnessing a lot of bullying in school.

Ryan wanted to make apparel with a meaningful purpose behind it. SweetSauce Apparel attended events like First Friday, Rainbow festival, and Pride. Ryan’s life took a turn down a rough road and gave up his dream.

After feeling like a failure and giving up on my dream my lovely wife Kimberly pushed me to start fresh in 2020. Every shirt of ours has a personal meaning or story behind it. We have turned SweetSauce Apparel into SweetSauce Printing & Apparel.

We don’t only print for our own brand but we screen print for other clients as well. We have become a family-owned business.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Our biggest obstacle would have been juggling our three kids on top of running a business.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about SweetSauce Apparel & Printing?
Our company screen prints all of our own shirts for our apparel line along with screen printing for other clients as well. We are fortunate to be very experienced in what we do and we take pride in the quality we produce. Our client relationships are very important to us.

SweetSauce apparel is all about positive messages and every shirt has a personal meaning/story behind it. For example; Kimberly’s father’s ashes are spread on the peaks of flagstaff so we created a shirt of the Flagstaff peaks with the words “Every Moment Matters”.

Another example is Ryan’s father had a heart attack back in 2014 and we created a shirt that says “Life is precious”. to raise money for his medical bills.

Another shirt we have is a sunflower that says “You are enough” as a mother and wife it can be easy to lose yourself and it’s a good reminder to remember that you are enough.

SweetSauce Apparel is a family-owned business with 10 years of printing experience. We care from start to finish of each project; as we take pride in our work. We are honest and love printing quality shirts.
