Inspiring Conversations with Kirby Beaver of Kirby & Co Home Team

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kirby Beaver.

Hi Kirby, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hey y’all! I have been a licensed REALTOR® since 2014! I am originally from Alabama but enjoyed growing up in the East Valley. I now raise my two boys in the West Valley and love seeing the ever-changing state we live in! I got into real estate to share my passion for homes as well as to allow me the freedom to raise my boys and be present in their lives all while building my business and serving my community.

There are thousands of agents to choose from, and I felt there was a real need in the Arizona real estate industry to bring a little southern charm to the southwest. This is most likely the largest transaction someone will do in their life. Buying and selling a home shouldn’t be a stressful experience. I wanted to bring a higher level of customer service to my clients so they can truly enjoy the experience, and know they have an advocate on their side when finding that dream home or helping them sell and move onto their next great adventure.

I have a true passion for real estate which you will see after your first in-person meeting with me. My energetic and outgoing personality helps make their buying and selling experience a fun one. My clients are my business and therefore #1 in everything.

I must be doing something right because 85% of my business comes by referrals from past clients!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a realtor is like being on a roller coaster. There are ups and downs all along the way. I spend countless hours working with clients to make sure they are educated and purchasing the RIGHT home for their family. Some clients buy the first home they see, others take years to find the ONE…either way I’m right there in the trenches with them.

The market shifts are difficult sometimes. Some months it’s in favor of sellers, and other times in favor of buyers. The current market has been a challenge for buyers to get homes. High prices, lack of inventory, it’s not like going out and having any home to pick from. Right now, sellers are seeing multiple offers on their homes, and most WELL over list price. The buyers in this market are struggling to get their offers accepted, and going up against sometimes 20 other families wanting the same home. I think of myself sometimes as more than just their realtor, sometimes I’m their therapist as well! We spend so much time together my clients’ become friends, and almost family as we celebrate the wins, and sometimes sleepless nights as well.

But I never falter, and always on a mission to find their “unicorn” home!

As you know, we’re big fans of Kirby & Co Home Team. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I founded Kirby & Co Team in 2014. We specialize in servicing the West Valley, basically anything WEST of the i17 interstate. We have sold over 197 homes in the valley, with a sold volume of over 51 million dollars.

Kirby Beaver is our Founder & Listing Agent. We have a dedicated buyer’s agent, Sara Wood. My team is set up to allow me to focus on selling their home, while Sara is helping them find their next home!

Our clients become our friends and family. We’ve been invited to clients’ weddings (our founder was even a bridesmaid!), kids’ birthdays, and special family events. They continue to spread the word about our team, and for that, we will forever be thankful. We give back to our clients by hosting quarterly Client Appreciation events. We host happy hours, movie nights, and our most loved event is family photo day. We have a client that has been to every single-family photo’s day, and we’ve helped capture their ever-growing family throughout the years.

We also love giving back to our local community. Each year we take a day to give back to those in need. We have fed the homeless, helped clean up parks, and stocked some local domestic violence shelters’ food pantries. This year, we’re going to be collecting character pillowcases for Phoenix Children’s Hospital. If you’d like to donate, please reach out to us!!

How do you think about happiness?
Iced coffee! But no, really, it keeps me running on long days!

In all honesty, being a mom to my 2 boys is what makes me truly happy in life. Rylan (9) is in club baseball and I really enjoy watching him pitch and love the sport. He wants to be an MLB player one day, and I am all about supporting my kids’ dreams!

Brayden (13) is my caring and gentle giant! He loves skateboarding and playing video games. The excitement on his face when he learns a new trick is amazing! Seeing smiles on their faces brings me joy.

My other happy place is out in the field with my clients. I wouldn’t be a REALTOR® for this long if I didn’t truly love what I do. Laughing with my clients, and seeing all their hard work payoff is the best reward at the end of the day.
