Hidden Gems: Meet Manashe Aminov of Noblemen Barbershop

Today we’d like to introduce you to Manashe Aminov.

Hi Manashe, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I come from a long line of barbers on both sides of my family. My life in the barber world started at 10 in my uncle’s barbershop. I would come after school and on the weekends to help sweep and maintain the shop. I didn’t start cutting hair until I turned 16 years old. My biggest inspiration was my son. When he was born, I wanted to give him the best childhood he could have. I spent most of my time cutting hair in Scottsdale, where I worked in high-end barbershops to master my craft. After working for other barbers, I was motivated to branch out and become my boss.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have been many times I wanted to stop cutting hair due to fear of failure. Throughout my career, coworkers, family, and loved ones supported me throughout the difficulties I faced to help me pursue my independence and get to where I am today. I even looked into other career options outside of cutting hair because I started to believe those who didn’t believe in me. But at the end of the day, I always knew I wanted to build my brand.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Noblemen Barbershop?
It starts with a great name that sets you apart from everyone else. At first, it was tough to think of a name, something that would make me stand out. Finally, I heard the name noble. I quickly changed it to noblemen and went from there. For me, the name isn’t something I took lightly. I wanted it to fit me, my views, and my beliefs for my brand. Working in many different shops, I was always open to learning different things from my bosses; everyone always had something they wanted to make their business stand out better than the shop down the street. Taking that as a learning experience, I wanted to make my shop old school with a new school vibe. I wanted to ensure families always felt welcome when they walked into my store and that no one felt out of place. I want people to want to come back to experience everything we have to offer. The best part is to grow with your barber and be confident that no matter what, you will always leave happy with a fire cut but also be able to leave knowing that we aren’t just your barbers but your friends. At noblemen barbershop, we specialize in all haircuts, from fades, mohawks, longer styles, beards, and the best shave you will ever experience. Training and education are key in noblemen’s barbershops. We love to learn new styles and different techniques to make your experience unforgettable. I’ve always had one phrase I say to all my clients “we’re changing lives one haircut at a time.” As you may ask, each time you get a haircut, it builds your confidence and makes you feel like a new man. That haircut just took you from looking like a solid three to a solid ten. It’s the first step you take to go on your first date, propose to your future spouse, and even interview for a new job.

If we knew you were growing up, how would we have described you?
I have always been extremely loud and social. I have that personality that when I walk into a room, you will know I am there. I love making people happy and helping everyone and anyone in the best way possible. My interests have always been about how I can give back to my community and leave my mark on this world. For the longest time, I always wanted to be a first responder because I thought that was the best way to give back and change someone’s life. It took me some time, but I finally figured out I could use my talent for cutting hair to change someone’s life. Being there for that person not only gives them an amazing cut and builds their confidence back up but is also a friend or someone they can talk to with absolutely no judgment.
