Exploring Life & Business with Vi Tran of Venetian Nail Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vi Tran.

Hi Vi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The beauty industry is more than a passion when you’re in charge of changing peoples’ lives regarding health and beauty. I’ve been an aesthetician for almost 10 years in Baton Rouge, LA. You get one chance to wow a client for them to keep coming back, and that is the key to success. My beauty educational background is graduating from beauty school at DJays institute of Cosmetology & Esthiology in Baton Rouge, LA. With continued education at National Laser Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. I also graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in business/entrepreneurship.

Today, I work at Venetian Nail Spa in Baton Rouge, LA. I am providing the finest facials with exceptional service. I enjoy traveling the world as a hobby to experience different massage techniques and implement them into my style. My ability to build long-term relationships with my clients is one of my favorite experiences. They have to be comfortable with you, and you need to earn their trust. Also, seeing instant results before and after each service is always exciting. I enjoy my career and hope to continue this journey of bringing light to my client’s skin care needs.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Every success story cannot be an easy journey. I have to constantly research and have every question possible to be answered. My main struggle, especially with the beauty industry, is the rules and laws in each state are different. I went to the National Laser Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona, before completing my esthetician license in Louisiana. In some practices, you do not need a license, but in Louisiana, as a state, you do need a license before pursuing laser skincare services. Some do freelance work in a doctor’s office, which is a more difficult task. I left my first year of college to pursue the beauty industry. The only mistake I wish I could take back is researching more and having an advisor in the beauty industry. Although I didn’t do the correct order of completing school, I still managed to succeed in my career today. Everyone’s journey will be different, and that’s okay.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Venetian Nail Spa?
I specialize in servicing facials. It’s deep cleaning for your pores, exfoliation to remove excess dead skin, and personalized masks to meet your skin issues. The massaging in between each step is the best part. It’s very relaxing, and the result is feeling refreshed. I’m very all around with this service. From my experience, some professionals are better in one area than another. What sets me apart is paying attention to detail and giving a great service from start to finish. I’m very proud of the less marketing I have to do because word of mouth is the top marketing skill awarded to me. When you do great service, it will be told!

What would you say has been one of your most important lessons?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is failing, which is bittersweet but the best part of the journey. How else can you learn from mistakes and better them without failing first? No one is perfect, and there will be challenging circumstances to overcome.
