Exploring Life & Business with Jaina Arnold of Blown’ Up Balloons

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaina Arnold.

Jaina, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
This all started by accident actually. I’m a stay-at-home mom of 5 and love throwing Pinterest-worthy parties for my kids. My friends would ask me to do garlands for them for their parties and events and one day one of my friends tagged me on their Instagram and I’ve been busy ever since.

My goal has always been to help throw DIY Pinterest-worthy parties that are budget-friendly, and I’ve loved doing just that while bringing additional income into our home. It has been fun and it has been a blessing!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all haha! Being a mom of 5, 3 of my kids are my bonus kiddos.

All of the events and sports, and after-school activities have definitely been hard along with homeschooling my daughter that is 6. It truly takes a village to do all the things and start a business, I don’t know what I would do without all the help of my mom, grandma, and mother-in-law.

My husband is a police officer with a local law enforcement agency and works crazy hours so it’s hard for him to help on the days I have events. I’d have to say the schedules have been the hardest. But someway we make it work!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I specialize in showers, parties, and business celebrations. I’d say something that sets me apart is I’m a one-woman show haha! It’s just me running the fun (for right now at least).

I’m pretty proud of how my business has thrived through a pandemic, raising five kids through all the stages of life, and homeschooling 2 of the 5! It’s been tough but I’ve never wanted to quit. Striving to show my kids that you truly can dream and do anything you put your mind to has been what has kept me pushing through some of the hardships of being a business owner.

I’ve always loved shopping and supporting small, mom-and-pop businesses, and it makes my heart happy to have that right now. When you support my business you’re supporting my dream!

Any big plans?
I’d love to expand and be able to hire one or a couple of people in the near future. I’ve also thought about putting DIY kits together for purchase on dates I’m booked and not able to take on any clients.

We also have been discussing diving into events, and event rentals. We would love lots of good vibes and prayers while we decide our next ventures.
