Exploring Life & Business with Dileri Chavira

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dileri Chavira.

Hi Dileri, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always helped my husband with his own business in NM and after our move to AZ in 2018, he kept encouraging me to do more of what I love to do.

I wanted to learn something that excited me in the beauty industry so I started to study the market and found that there were a few practices that I liked. My daughter-in-law also worked in the beauty industry and was able to connect us with a friend that not only was in the same field but had a great business plan to share with my husband and me.

The plan was to build Salon Suites (the collab) so that we can all practice and collaborate in the same industry. While the business was being constructed, I started a short course at AzBrow Academy to learn 3D Microblading, and soon after I also started learning how to apply for Hair Extensions.

Now that our business is up and running, we are helping other people with their small businesses at The Collab.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We were in the middle of a pandemic while we were under construction and my husband had a couple of critical surgeries during that time as well.

It was very challenging but we pushed through as a team and got our business up and running in the Summer of 2021.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Collab is a place where beauty professionals can practice their profession from their own suite.

The pandemic really opened a new perspective for many people that lost their jobs and were trying to create income from their own homes.

Our business model not only provides these professionals a safe space for their business but also an opportunity to grow and learn from others like them.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
You can’t give up!!! There will always be obstacles and new things to learn so enjoy the process.
