Today we’d like to introduce you to Deshawn Woods.
Hi Deshawn, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Scottsdale Sirens Women’s Basketball Team was formed in June 2020. By Malika Murphy, the team started competition against local colleges, during the shutdown period which helped colleges during travel restrictions and helped us get the brand out.
May 2021 Scottsdale Sirens began its inaugural season with the Women’s Basketball Association. Scottsdale Sirens are also the flagship team of the league which has teams in major cities across the west coast of America.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a team in the middle of the Covid pandemic you could imagine the obstacles but I believe it’s all necessary.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Scottsdale Sirens is a women’s minor league basketball team. Roster with great college-educated professional and former college athletes.
We’re most proud to provide opportunities for athletes post-college to continue playing the game they love that may not be ready to hang it up yet lol, some also have the opportunity to play in other countries around the globe.
Scottsdale Sirens Organization appreciates the opportunity to get involved in the community and partner with other businesses to give back and serve.
Scottsdale Sirens. Provides quality entertainment for all, we enjoy supporting brands and making a difference.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
