Daily Inspiration: Meet Val and Uriah Williams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Val and Uriah Williams.

Hi Val and Uriah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We were both working very typical 40+ hour work week jobs and were feeling extremely burnt out, anxious, and like our maximum potential to help others was not being tapped into, all while struggling to find time to spend with one another and simply enjoy life!

Uriah left the fitness industry to begin his real estate career and was flourishing, learning, and growing each day! Shortly after, Val left her position as a Doctor of Physical Therapy to also kick start her real estate career. Although the transition could be viewed by others as “risky” or “impulsive.”

We knew we had to take a huge leap of faith to get outside of our comfort zone and find an environment where we were passionate about what we do, who we work with, and how we can help.

We now both work for the top Real Estate brokerage in AZ, Howe Realty, where we not only have phenomenal leadership and colleagues but are supported at a level that allows us to grow our business and cultivate genuine relationships.

We are so thankful for where our career paths have led us and all of the support and education along the way!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We struggled with the job transitions to real estate, emotionally, mentally, and financially. Although we wanted to take big risks, we knew we had to set ourselves up to be okay should anything fall through.

It’s very difficult to leave a steady paycheck and benefits but we relied heavily on our faith and our work ethic, knowing that so long as we put in the consistent effort with positive mindsets, we would succeed. Real estate is a career of relationship building and continuously learning and educating yourself and your clients.

This can feel slow at times, but nurturing and tending to our self-growth in this business has been incredibly rewarding in so many ways.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We specialize in finding the house you call home! We work with those wanting to buy or sell a home all over the Phoenix Valley. We absolutely love working with first-time home buyers, because we were just in their shoes more recently than not!

The home buying process can be very intimidating and the more we can help ease any nerves and educate through any questions is always our goal! We so enjoy the process of selling a home as well, especially, in our current market, it can be overwhelming to navigate the high amount of offers and all of their terms!

This is where we feel we can really help the seller find exactly what they are looking for by breaking down and explaining what each offer entails! We believe what sets us apart is working as a duo, we like to say, “The power of two”, as well as our ability to create and build genuine relationships with our clients through such a special milestone in their lives.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Consistency! Not every client we are going to meet is going to be ready to buy or sell a home right then and there!

So nurturing our client relationships in a consistent manner, no matter where they are at in the timeline, is so important to us in order to ensure they know just how important they are to us and that we are with them each step of the way! Consistency also comes into play with our work ethic!

The beauty of our careers is that we have autonomy over our hours. However, each day is different and a lot of things can happen on the fly or with very short notice so establishing a consistent daily routine is imperative to our success!
