Daily Inspiration: Meet Brittany Cacopardo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Cacopardo.

Hi Brittany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In April 2021, I became the Co-Owner of QuikPrint. At the end of my senior year, the previous owner (Steve Nichols) offered me a position after entrusting me to watch his three sons regularly.

I worked in the main location and our offsite location at a local resort before enlisting into the Air force. I served 4 years as an F-15 mechanic. After the Air Force, I took a job with a Facility Management group for 5 years. Feeling frustrated with my current position, I was surprised to hear from Mr. Nichols offering me a job at QuikPrint.

I jumped at the opportunity to work with him again. At the end of 2020, Mr. Nichols lost his battle with cancer. It was his vision for me and three other employees to buy the QuikPrint after he passed.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When we became owners, we knew the production side of the business and could do it blindfolded, learning the business side without our “fearless leader” was difficult.

We really relied on the support from the team Steve had built around himself. Another big challenge was purchasing a business in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. We took a large hit in the business and did not know if we were going to make it out on the other side.

While business is not back where it was before the pandemic, we have grown since the hit.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
