Daily Inspiration: Meet Anastasia Dudley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anastasia Dudley.

Hi Anastasia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Since I was younger, I knew I wanted to do something in fashion. I used to put on my mom’s shoes and clothes and give her a runway show. Around 14 I was still dancing, but I felt like it wasn’t Fulfilling me, so I asked my mom to take me out so I could start modeling. Since then, I have done 4-5 shows and 1 photo shoot. I took a break recently to focus on my senior year, and I couldn’t be happier with that decision. I graduated with an outstanding senior and a varsity letter for being on varsity Pom. Now I’m about to enter college, but I am looking to get back into my dream of being a runway model.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In this business, you have to know who you are because people will try to tell you otherwise. It hasn’t been a smooth road with COVID and me in general. I had to build a tough skin, knowing I would get some no’s, and I Have. But I want to be the representation I didn’t have as a kid.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in runway shows, but I would also love to do print. I am most proud of my confidence. Being different at a young age comes with bullying and teasing, but all it did was make me stronger than cliche as it is.

What do you think about luck?
I believe in being lucky, and I have a parent who believes in me and pushes me. But it’s more than that. I have the chance to make the industry more inclusive, and I believe I am lucky.
