Conversations with Lisa Venezia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Venezia.

Hi Lisa, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My Grandmother is my mentor who started me in the Retail business at the age of 14 in Mankato, Minnesota. We refer to her as “GaGa”, and she has always been inspiration for launching The GoGo Gaga Mobile Boutique on wheels and the Shop GoGo GaGa. We 35 years in retail under my belt with major corporations running and managing Stores like Victorias Secret, HM, and Macy’s, to mention a few. My passion in retail is to provide my customers with a great shopping experience; seeing them come back and walk away happy makes my day, and I love seeing my employees grow.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth is always the path we look for, but in the corporate retail world, there are always the behind the scene things that take you off the floor from the customers, so you get your work completed as each day goes. My work ethic comes from my Grandmother (the Original GoGo GaGa)

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
When running a retail business, it all starts with finding the locations which work best for you. Then, of course, my favorite thing to do is to SHOP-SHOP-SHOP! This is where you go to markets and designers all over the country and find the products best suited for your store. An important note is to not just buy for your own style, wants, and needs, but you need the vision to purchase for all types if customer needs. My specialty in my option is Customer experience and putting Smiles on satisfied customers. The Mobile Aspect and our two storefront locations set Shop GoGo GaGa apart. With that also the constant change of produces that change weekly and monthly bringing a true Boutique experience.
